Based on whats happening right now with picpay its too risky, it looks like picpay is being removed from all systems right now. The possibility of being left with having to carry on payments on a car is too great - wouldnt be my ideal choice of investment vehicle (pardon the pun). thanks for all the help everyone. The people in this forum really make it worth coming to. cheers all.

I am hoping I will be able to get enough out of PicPay sometime next year to get my car -- I just got my wife one, so she is happy now, guess I have to wait another 6 months to get me one.
I agree that as things are now I would not do it the way the Australia program is set up -- I would also be leary that I might have to take over the payment, which I am not yet prepared to do, so I guess I'll have to wait and see what is going to happen after the PicPay changes.

Abundance.
3 things.
1. Yes i found out from ambs, no guarantees exist. Perhaps that was a naive question at the time, but i think a common one. I apologise profusely, and deeply regret posting what now seems a slightly naive question.
2. ambs have given me the party line, which is that everything is hunky-dory when its not, and most likely they will stop accepting picpay in the next week or two (seeing that every other program that was accepting picpay is not now). It would be incredibly naive to just go with whatever they told you.. which is why its good to discuss things.
3. Beyond that I was not asking any further questions, but just stating my decision, which was the part you quoted (?). This post itself does not contain any questions either. But when i go get around to posting another question, i will be sure to check with you first whether its up to scratch or not.
