I spent much time and effort in an attempt to substantiate Mr. Marsden's credentials as presented by himself. All to no avail.
None of the companies he named, could trace any record of him. They were, for the most part, either huge organisations or ones that were no longer extant. None had never heard of Martel Management.
The Royal Air Force does not divulge details of its members other than those listed in the Army, Navy and Air Force lists where his name does not appear.
The Criminal Record Office have no record of any misdemeanours but admit that any such record would have been expunged except for a repeat offender. Martel Management was never registered in the UK neither were any tax returns filed during its alleged 25 years in business.
He appears to have been almost a non-person in the UK.
Most qualified electrical engineers are members of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) but he was never a member.
None of this is, of course, indicative of any wrongdoing but it is strange that his only public records have been since he arrived in Malaysia and then in conjunction with various internet schemes, mainly MLM ones.

Sorry for more speculations from me and is also a bit off topic.
The way I see it is that BM thought his relationships with the royal family and some government officials there could really save him from getting trouble from the authority, he might think that if he kept on finding solutions he would save the day eventually, like he used to say more than once "They can't touch us", at the worst case, all he needed was to restructure Pips and start all over again, that why he kept on accepting new members and as if there wasn't enough troubles, he opened the merchant system in Picpay while members hadn't gotten paid for months, many members, me included, thought he must have had a trump up on his sleeve, or he wouldn't be acting so confident at that kind of situation, so we went on supporting him and refused to believe that all might be just nothing but wishful thinkings.
of course, I don't rule out Mike's theory that BM may be a pathological liar, in his mind, the whole thing was very real, but in this theory, Sharon must be very stupid, or she might also be a pathological liar herself or worse a real liar....we believed in Pips because we didn't know the facts (we still don't know,by the way), it was all just wishful thinkings and greed, but Sharon must know it all along....unless, she is one of those kind of women who follow his husband like glue and never dare to ask any questions.
anyway, when I first saw those pictures of BM and Sharon in handcuffs, I chatted with a friend of mine, I jokingly said, the hairdo of BM reminded me of that crazy doctor in "Back in the future"...and I wondered if he would say "If it aint from me, It ain't so!" in the court...
in fact, that day I felt very sad, after all, he was once my hero, I still remember BM once joked around that he posted his itinerary of his tour on the forum, so if the authority wanted to get him, they would know where to pick him up....
ironically, now that his joke became a reality...whether he really deserved it, only time can tell, but it's already a big lesson to learn from.
do I hate BM? no, but I have a feelings many members do hate those cheerleaders of pips, judging from the fact I was once a cheerleader myself, although I wasn't a worst kind and preferred to call myself a supporter, I really feel I need to say sorry for my behavior, what other people do is none of my business, after all, it's a way of life in this hyip world, but for myself, I feel the need to apologize to all people who were just trying to warn us.
also I wanted to let the admin know I am changing username, as I really hate mine, at the time I was creating it I really didn't expect I would stay here for so looooong...so I just picked up a name from my book shelf...
judging it took me more than 3 hours to type this short message, I really need a Toefl test!...LOL
right now, I am looking forward to what real investment rolclub will come up with, also waiting to see if the dinar will really reval like the way people say, but the most important thing is don't gamble your life away on all of these things, they can give you hopes, but the only thing you can rely on it's your own actions, keep working, keep studying, find out what you are good at and develop it!
I am cheerleader no more!
Regards,
from a lost and found
YB: Excellent retrospect and telling it like it is... honestly from the heart. You can now look up with pride with the decision and realization made, Hats off 2 U!!!

It was indeed pleasantly refreshing to read Toefl's post. There is nothing wrong with being taken in by a professional conman - provided one is prepared to admit it. And the Pips business was so elaborate that it is not surprising that so many fell for it. The bricks and mortar offices, the seminars etc. all gave it a feeling of reality. And who would have thought that a fraud would have painted himself into a corner that way? For that is what happened. Other internet fraudsters have no tangible presence and can just disappear - but bricks and mortar are hard to hide.
I am still puzzling over this and why he and his wife thought they could get away with it. It makes little sense - but was, of course, why so many fell for it.

thanks for your sharing your feelings, Toefl. It's a hard thing to process, but in time we will find out the truth. At least most of us want the real truth and not to be in denial.
I do know that one of the members did a post on all the these businesses and credentials of Bryan's one time. Anybody remember? Wonder how they got all that info? ............ ?
