Talking We're the only ones with these! ;-)

I just noticed this area! So used to checking the dinar thread....LOL!

SO! We have allergies in our house, so nothing with fur, feathers or fluff for us! But, I'm not into slimy stuff either...and my son wanted something he could 'hold and play with'.

Soooo after looking into all sorts of critters we found the coolest, most awesome pets! (Yes...plural...two)

Tortoises! Greek tortoises! Two girls....guess their names?

    Laverne & Shirley!

They are so friendly and sweet (weird, I know!) they come right over to get their heads rubbed and under their chins scratched, just like a dog would!

The best is that I don't have to feed them anything live like crickets or anything...I just make them a little salad each day.

We do have two little frogs in a bowl too.....guess their names? C'mon, guess!

    Lenny & Squiggy!

    Nope, not lyin'.
    ***************
Back when I had my own apartment I was lonely and bought a bunny...black...named him Onyx. Just a tiny little guy, only supposed to get to 3-4 pounds...he was a mini-lop. Well 12 pounds later I had a dog-sized litter-trained rabbit that slept with me in bed and ate Spaghetti-O's right out of my bowl!!!

He used to love his bath (with tear-free shampoo of course!) and I trimmed his nails. I even dressed him up as Santa for the holidays. He went everywhere with me...right in the passenger seat of my car! Took the balls right off the Christmas tree branches, one-by-one!

True to form when he wanted to show me his attitude he would get his hind leg thumping...tell him no about something? THUMP! But then would give me little bunny-kisses on my cheek when I scooped him up. (Oh, and any boyfriend had to get through Onyx too...not many did...he would chase their feet and nip at their heels!)

Thanks for letting me remember and share...he was one of a kind!

    Kind regards everybody!
    Love your animals!
    Tiffany :-)

I'm not sure how to put them up in here! (Where are those darn smilies!?!)

If you can give me some instructions, I'll gladly post some pics! :-)

I've got them in my computer from my digital camera, so I would just need to know how to get them 'here'! (lol!)

If anyone could PM me or pop them right in here, I don't mind! I'm not embarrassed!

    Thanks, and warm regards!
    Tiff :-)
