What is MLM (network marketing)?
MLM is when independent representatives recruit other independent representatives and everybody receives commissions on "sales" that are generated by their downline. MLM or network marketing is legal as commissions are generated by sales and not by recruiting others. GreenZap is not MLM because there are no sales and therefor no commissions on sales being paid out. What is a pyramid?
A Pyramid Scheme is a multi-level marketing (MLM) program that cannot support itself because earning money, and/or advancing within the system depends on recruiting other people into the operation, rather than selling a product or providing a service. Note that although all Pyramid Schemes are multi-level marketing programs, all MLM programs are not necessarily Pyramid Schemes. The distinction lies in the source of revenue, and the independent viability of the underlying enterprise. The fundamental issue is, does the operation need the financial contributions of new members to survive, or can it stand on its own?

GreenZap is not a pyramid because it does not require its members to invest money to be paid out to members upline from that person. Any money you put into your GreenZap account remains your money and is able to be spent by you at any time.

GreenZap is not a get-rich-quick scheme either.
GreenZap is simply offering community rewardz to those who help build the community. GreenZap's business model is basically the same as PayPal except with three differenes.

1) Lower Transaction Fees: Instead of PayPal's 1.9-2.9% + $0.30 per transaction fee, GreenZap will charge a flat $1.00 per transaction fee.
2) Community Rewardz: Both PayPal and GreenZap pay out $5 to direct referrals who sign up for an online spending account. GreenZap has gone a step further and is paying out more rewardz in the form of community rewardz.
3) Free $50 For Registering: The last big difference is that GreenZap is offering its new members $50 for registering. Although PayPal has never offered this, many other banks do for setting up new accounts.
