Jewish Encyclopedia 22 Volumes (2007) l 432 MB

The 'Encyclopaedia Judaica' consists of 22 PDF files
and somewhere in the area of 15,000 pages. It is a
good reference for most things if you want a quick
brief on Jewish topics.
Each article ends with a bibliographical note (further
reading references like books or other sources).
The text of a volume can be searched with the search
option in Acrobat Reader.

Of course, as is often the case with long running
encyclopedias (this one was started in Germany in the
late 1920ies) they tend to be slightly conservative.
For instance the "hot potatoe" issue of revising
the history of Israel's founding in 1948 (connected
with the movement of the "New Historians" and "Post-
Zionism") is not mentioned in a seperate article,
nor any the individual new historians themselves (Benny
Morris, Ilan Pappe, Avi Shlaim, Tom Segev).
