What is a health content provider?
A health content provider is any company that provides appropriately reviewed health information for a website, public health education materials, or electronic media.

What is URAC's Health Content Provider Accreditation?
URAC's Health Content Provider Accreditation standards require health content or personal health management providers to develop editorial policies and apply these policies to all health information distributed to entities that will ultimately share it with consumers. Accredited organizations must ensure that their health content authors and reviewers are licensed, credentialed, and able to critically evaluate health information. URAC standards closely examine a number of different areas, including organizational policies and structures, disclosure, health content, quality oversight, and accountability.
