Why am I obsessing over someone I barely know?

Because, you have fantasied about what you would imagine that person to be like, how you think your time will be spent together, how they will be towards you is all romanticized in your head. This false belief of the person, makes you infatuated and thus you will start obsessing.

Promise you when or if you actually do get to be with the person in a romantic way, it will not live up to your expectations making you disappointed in the relationship or you’ll be constantly worrying if you are worthy enough as you’ve placed such high value on a person.

Its sad but this is why they tell you to speak to the person or just ask them out even if you believe they are way out of your league, sooooo as harsh as it sounds, you can be brought back to reality, as you’ll find their actions don’t match the ones in your head you will start to ‘dethrone’ them and you will stop thinking about them. Promise x
