Has someone ever died in a reality show?

Earlier this year, there was going to be a French reality TV show called Dropped, which would have "dropped" a group of celebrities into a harsh, remote environment and filmed them as they fend for themselves. The eight contestants were all athletes, seven from France and one from Switzerland. It was going to be set in Argentina.

The show was canceled because of the Villa Castelli helicopter crash, in which two helicopters that were transporting contestants and crew crashed in mid-air. Ten people were killed, including three of the contestants.

One of the deceased was Camille Muffat, one of my favorite French athletes. She won three medals at the London Olympics, including gold in the 400m freestyle.
