So you are a "tico"? But I would write it with a "J"; IDIAY MAJE...
(In any case, you should be from Costa Rica. I am Swedish, but was married for many years to a Costa Rican guy, and all my kids are half Costa Rican. Where are you from? I have spent most of my time in Curri (Curridabat outside San José) but also a little in Alajuela and in Guanacaste (on vacation)/Karin
Ps. Joshua: IDIAY MAE is a very typical Costarrican expression...I KNOW the meaning...but can't translate it...(can't find the right English expression...or something like "yo, man...waz up" But it depends on the situation also...can mean different things at different times)
PPS. "Pura vida" directly translated means "pure life"... But the ACTUAL meaning, in C.R. is "great, fantastic" . Like "how are you? Answer: Pura vida!Last edited by karinc; 21-07-2006 at 05:54 PM.
