Bank of America! Interesting. I remember reading in many places that BofA was only selling and/or buying when the Dinar was internationally traded....
At the branch level to the public that is correct, they are neither buying or selling yet, and will do so only if and when the dinar hits the forex. Their foreign exchange department is dealing in dinars at a bank to bank level. As I understand it, Chase gets their dinars from Bank of America also.
Thanks for the reply Adster.
Phil, unfortunately I didn't get a reply from Travelex.
I'm interested to know if we can cash them in with Travelex even if we didn't but the dinars from them and how to go about it. I just want to cash in a very small amount without it going into a bank account.
Any ideas?

I don't know if this is the "banking thread" that Neno mentioned, but decided to post this here.
My bank is affiliated with UMB (United Missouri Bank). I called and asked the fee for exchanging my dinar for USD....my bank has NO SPREAD AND CHARGES $5 transaction fee with NO LIMIT!!!   :woohoo:
