    Default Dear Gordon!! Bye, bye

    Dear Gordon,

Over the last 12 years in government, and before, you have made an enormous contribution to this country and to the Labour Party, and this is very widely acknowledged.

However we are writing now because we believe that in the current political situation, you can best serve the Labour Party and the country by stepping down as party leader and prime minister, and so allowing the party to choose a new leader to take us into the next general election.
    Yours,

    XXXX

This is the email published in the British Newspapers tomorrow (Thursday), which is being ciculated to Members of Parliament for the Labour Party. The Party want it signed by the members and when they have 50 signatures from the party it will be presented to Gordon Brown, Prime Minister.

    Bye, bye Gordon!!

The timetable could run like this, say the rebels.

    - June 9: Prime Minister is forced from office following local and European election results.

    - June 16: Leadership ballot papers distributed.

    - June 29: Selection of the new leader at a special conference held by the Labour party

    - July 2: Brown would formally resign and the new Prime Minister would be installed.

It’s getting worse by the day, isn’t it?

Could be your last week in charge.

    Bye, bye
