[COLOR="Purple"]Does this mean a long uphill slog over many months to get to 1:1? Could it also mean that there will be an INITIAL 10% increase of the value of the dinar, a brief period of assessment (similar to "tempering" in cooking when you add a hot liquid to eggs to bring them up to temperature so as to avoid scrambled eggs in your pudding) followed by small incremental increases over time? No...No! NO! Say it ain't so! What would be the down side of givin' the Iraqi economy a great big whoppin' RV? Are they afraid everyone's gonna wanna go to Disneyland? What would be wrong with replacing shooting in the streets with dancing in the streets?
DANCIN'! Leavin' y'all an opening, here!!!
leaked? it was published for fack sakes. actually, was written to be published in august 05 and didnt come out in print until this spring. they blatently told us in that article that there are 14 denominations of dinar that were printed. we know how to count how many are considered legal at this moment. we can subtract.

MENAFN - 07/12/2006
(MENAFN) The U.K Ministry of Defense has earmarked an additional 600 million pounds for operations in Afghanistan and Iraq next year, more than the pre-budget amounts over the past three years, The Guardian reported.
British military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost 7 billion pounds since the invasion of Iraq in 2003,
Earlier in March, Chancellor to the treasury significantly increased the previous pre-budget figure and said an extra 800 million pounds would be spent this year in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Member of the Iraq Analysis Group, an independent research organization, said that the government continues to increase the amount being channeled through the 'special reserve' without any explanation as to exactly where the money is going or why it is increasing .
The MoD has said in the past that Iraq costs about 1 billion pounds a year. Earlier this year, it said the cost of deploying British troops in southern Afghanistan would amount to some 1 billion pounds over five years. It is clear, in light of the intensity of the operations, that significantly more will be spent. Much of it will go on better equipment, including new armored vehicles.
