Default Deletion of Market sensitive information

2007 International Monetary Fund March 2007
    IMF Country Report No. 07/115
    January 29, 2001 Septmber 24, 201 January 29, 2001
Iraq: Third and Fourth Reviews Under the Stand-By Arrangement, Financing
Assurances Review, and Requests for Extension of the Arrangement and for Waiver of
Nonobservance of a Performance Criterion—Staff Report; Staff Supplement; Press
Release on the Executive Board Discussion; and Statement by the Executive Director
    for Iraq
In the context of the third and fourth reviews under the Stand-By Arrangement, financing assurances
review, and requests for an extension of the arrangement and for a waiver of nonobservance of a
performance criterion, the following documents have been released and are included in this package:
    • the staff report for the Third and Fourth Reviews Under the Stand-By Arrangement,
Financing Assurances Review, and Requests for Extension of the Arrangement and for
Waiver of Nonobservance of a Performance Criterion, prepared by a staff team of the IMF,
following discussions that ended on February 2, 2007, with the officials of Iraq on economic
developments and policies. Based on information available at the time of these discussions,
the staff report was completed on February 23, 2007. The views expressed in the staff report
are those of the staff team and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Executive Board of
    the IMF;
    • a supplement to the staff report of March 9, 2007, updating information on recent
    developments;
    • a press release summarizing the views of the Executive Board as expressed during its
March 12, 2007 discussion of the staff report that completed the reviews and requests; and
    • a statement by the Executive Director for Iraq.
The documents listed below have been or will be separately released.
Addendum to the Technical Memorandum of Understanding*
Letter of Intent sent to the IMF by the authorities of Iraq*
Supplementary Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies by the
    authorities of Iraq*
    *Also included in Staff Report
The policy of publication of staff reports and other documents allows for the deletion of market-sensitive
    information.
I posted this earlier in the news thread, but thought it might be interesting to get your thoughts on this disclaimer that was on page one of the IMF document from March. A poster on another forum noticed this.
This is the link to the DOCUMENT.

Thoughts on what they might be leaving out or deleting before making documents public?

Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

thank you for doing this. interesting bit of information and i think this is ok so long as it does not have to be tracked and traced through the internet alleyway involving another forum or site which is a conflict of interests to rolclub. this should do, no damage done by this manner.

No, It doesn't have to be traced to any other forum from here, THANKS!! I was hoping some would weigh in on their thoughts to this disclaimer. If they hold the right to delete market sensitive information from their publications, we are obviously NOT seeing the FULL story or BIG picture on most of the documents that are viewed publicly. Am I incorrect with that, or what???? It shows they have a window of opportunity to withhold certain "market sensitive" information from the publics view.... THEY being whoever is writing the articles and public documents.

Someone PLEASE CHIME IN ANY DAY NOW!! I THOUGHT THIS WAS HUGE!!!!!!

Everything we read is numbers. If we could find everything we need, it would be like putting your credit card info on the internet with the CVV number attached.

They give us the number, but no CVV. :)

the imf is famous for this market sensitive info being deleted of course. if they didnt do it we would have to get them for insider trading.

realistically how can they post certain things without causing one giant rush on certain economies?

For example, if there was a clause in the Letter Of Intent stating the amount and date of the reval I'm sure they would heve deleted that reference before posting the LOI on their website. So that is quite possibly the answer to those who have read it and have commented that there is no reference to the reval in it.

I agree with you. I think this is very important in trying to reconcile what we have read in all the news articles with regards to "de-dollarization", "restoring the dinar to it's former value", etc. with the lack of reference to these things in the important financial areas such as the CBI and the IMF.

They are only telling us what they want us to know and no more.
