Welcome on board ridgemer. No there will be no new currency before the reval takes place. May I suggest the sites search engine in our history thread? This will more than likly provide you with enough Information to alieviate any fears, or answer any questions you may have.

what you will see is more denominations being issued.

not at all....

the old saddam currency was bought, and destroyed....

it was a very cheap easily counterfieted not...on cheap paper

the new notes made in france by de la rue...was a brilliant idea by paul bremer

because it is not made by the us banknote company...and it has 22 security devices built in some we dont even know about...and the people in that part of the world love it...its top quality...

we have seen 7 denominations ...somewhere burried in the constitution, it says they had 14 denominations printed...27 747's worth of bills printed.

while exactly how much was printed is been argued, a good estimate is at least 10 trillion, maybe more, is what has been discussed..

their constitution says they are allowed to do a reprint ...if they want to...

but with trying to get into the IMF and world trade org....doing so right now would only hurt them....a currency must be stable B4 they admit you to such organizations....

and they have to have a period to let you exchange it for the new....

as with everything it could happen, but its HIGHLY unlikely, it would be a stupid move by iraq, it would cost them money and effort. ahhhh screw it. . .theres NO CHANCE of a reprint!
