What's the saying about a watched pot?
First of all, I would like to say that I am looking forward to the r/v. Second of all as some of you know I don't have any. But I am looking forward to providing my expertise should you all decide to come to Penang to spend your dinars!
My opinion, heck if I put in a quarter of what I put into PIPS, I'd be a millionaire heck 10 times over. But alas PIPS has gotten to it first and as we struggle to buy a decent apartment, I just can hope that the Dinar r/v soon.

Here's the thing. I've notice my water doesn't boil when I keep expecting it too, so maybe we should treat the r/v like this!
Happy waiting!

Part of the thanks goes to Bryan
As strange as it seems, one person responsible for my involvement in dinars is Bryan Marsden. Had he not shut down PIPS forum when he did, Marek would not have started RC and I would never have read Adster's posting about dinars. I started small, just buying a 25K now and then, but in May, when Adster posted rumours about a higher reval than anybody had expected so far, I bought a slightly larger sum. I still do not hold as much as I'd like to, but enough to pay off all debts (even with a rather small reval) and still have some money in the bank.
How we came into the Dinar aura
I am a financial professional - been in business 29 years and want to retire SOON. A client was at my desk this past February and told me about his Dinar purchase and said that I probably wouldn't "approve" of what he was doing. The gambling part of me kicked in, I researched it online for about a month and then my husband and I jumped in, big time. I also brought 9 others in as well.
Aside from the retirement goal, there are so many other things and good that we can all do with this money. I am going to set up Educational Trusts in the names of all my 6 Grandchildren and that money will eventually go from generation to generation for education and informed kids.
Also, we have already made a list of several people we want to "gift" our annual allotment of $24,000 as prescribed by IRS code, currently.
We're also going to set up some Retirement Annuities for people we care about who we feel would eventually struggle at finding a secure retirement. I've been writing down lists of charities as I see them in the media to check out - ones that help people who really need it. I'm particularly interested in those poor newborns who are born adicted to drugs or alcohol. So cruel.
So, we've started our list and feel we have an opportunity to help future generations and I think that's a real last legacy many of us can pass along.
We'll work with Estate Attorneys on much of this to have all the I's dotted and the T's crossed.
And of course, there is Rolclub. I have been, in the beginning, on 7 different Forums. But in the end, there is only ONE!!!! The quality of the people and the information that imparted here is second to none. We thank all of you.
Not sure what to say, really
All of the previous posts have been so heart felt and moving, I don't hardly know what to say. ( as my wife faints on floor from shock  ). As many of you here, I was involved in PIPS and I am thankful for the experience as it continues to unfold because without it, I might not be here at this time.
I have been involved in computers and the internet for many years. Back in the mid 90's (I said a long time!) I went to school to be a computer technician and found out that not everyone or thing that comes in touch with computers or technology has the midas touch. I found many so called at home opportunities to be enticing and decided on finally to stop working for someone else and to work for myself at home for a change.
I went through literally hundreds if not thousands of different online programs looking for that "1" that would be the right 1 for me. I thought I found it with PIPS. I was able to spend some time "retired" at home for a while but when the payments stopped I ran out of money had to go back into the work force. Just as I was re-entering the work force, I came down with a rare illness diagnosed as bells palsy and that threw me for a loop. I was able to recover from that and begin work again but only could find temporary jobs or jobs which didn't work out for me.
Against Bryan's wishes, I joined the Rolclub to stay informed concerning PIPS 'cause I really enjoyed the PIPS forum when it was running. When it looked as though PIPS might return, I decided to hold off on any more programs until PIPS came back. The plan was through that funding I would research and join other programs of interest. I saw the dinars mentioned on this forum first but wasn't really interested at the time because PIPS was my main focus.
Another PIPS forum mentioned the dinars and sent out some information concerning it and seemed to be recommending it so I thought I would take another look at it and bought some this spring. Since I was only a "legacy member" of the other forum and not a "premium member" (read paying member) I really didn't have very much information other than what I read from Free dinar. I began reading this forum late spring and purchased as much dinar as I could since then.
Unfortunately now I am experiencing some sort of relapse of my bells palsy and am not working now so I can't buy anymore dinars (or else I definately would). My wife is guardedly hopeful that this will turn out but she really has a difficult time believing it will.
I am praying and believing it will r/v soon not only for my family and my needs, but the Iraqis' deserve much better as a people. Reading and paying attention to all of the news can be very emotionally draining. I too am thankful for all of the posters of the news and opinions for it helps all of us to remain focused.
Like many of you, especailly the former PIPSters, I have a lot of good works in my heart and have a great desire to give as the Lord directs to my family, friends, charities, but especially those Christian ministers & ministries that the main stream media knows little or nothing about. Those that are on the front lines for the Lord risking their lives, doing His will, are the ones I intend on seeking out after the dinar r/vs.
I personally believe that we aren't here by accident, as varied in personalities as we may be, we fit together as a family encouraging and spuring each other on. Some days are good, some days aren't so good, but together we can
all cross the finish line as winners.
When is this going to r/v? Yesterday would have been great, tommorrow greater, how about today? The greatest!!!

This thread is inspiring!
I just finished reading this thread. Amazing how many of us have similar stories....and similar outcomes....in that we first got in strictly for our own personal financial gain and have progressed to learning about world politics and caring for those faraway people who are innocently caught up in all this turmoil. Seems the goals of humanity are the same no matter where we live or what religion we are...to provide for and protect our family.
I first invested in the dinar in May 2006, but had been intrigued by it's possibilites in 2005 when I saw a post by Mike OSW. I, too, had come to ROL to keep up on Pips happenings and was familar with Mike and had respect for his postings. But at that time, I was not really in a financial position to jump in...plus I was staying away from truly speculative opportunities.
I did follow the dinar on and off and when brought up by another investment forum I was a paid member of, I checked out the FreeDinar site and bought 1 million from them. A few weeks later a friend of mine called to ask if I had heard of the Dinar...seems his friends were all exicited about it and he wanted to buy, but they never got back to him as to where to go. When I told him I just bought some he was upset I hadn't told him about it...all I could say was I felt uneasy because of Pips.
I bought another million in August 2006 and would love to buy more...but just can't afford to. I am very grateful to ROL for the news thread, as I can read and learn such credible facts (and opinions on those facts) without all the BS and rumors. I appreciate everyone's contribution, not only for making me feel the Dinar is a real investment, but for opening my eyes to the plight of the Iraqi people and the bravery of our soldiers for trying to help them.
The opportunity of a life time.
Hello Friends!
Like many others, i must say that reading this thread is truly amazing and it feels that we are becoming more and more like a big happy family!
With all the great people i have talked to in here, many of you i see as my friends and the rest of you i would like to know better, and probably will on our Rolclub beach resort in the future
So lets talk about the dinars, like many of you i lost alot on pips and i tried to find a more "realistic" investment that would hopefully bring me some good return. I dont have that good of a memory but i belive i read it first in here about the dinars, but didnt care so much about it, until i had nothing to do 1 day. So i started to search on ebay and i dont remember what i searched on, but somehow i saw an auction of dinars for sale, and remembered Adster posting about this same thing on rolclub. So i started to read about it and the more i read the more interested i became and it didnt take long until i purchased my first batch of dinars almost 1 year ago, and i can say this without hesitation.
-Hello, my name is John and i am a Donarholic!
So, i have been on the dinar thread every day since then and now me and Neno are running the dinar thread with ironhands.
I have enjoyed this rollercoaster ride, and i have had a great time with many of you, and cant wait for this adventure to be over. But only part 1 of it. The chaptures continues and hopefully we will have many more chaptures together in this opportunity of a lifetime!
So with those words i end my little story and i would like to thank everyone to contribute, not just to this thread but the entire forum. Without you guys this wouldnt be what it is today!
Cheers!
Neighbor got me hooked...
I live in a newer development in the suburbs of Minneapolis. My next door neighbor (who is from India) brought up the Iraqi Dinar over a campfire one night back in Autumn of 2005. He is a very intelligent person and was tipped off by his bosses who invested heavily in Dinar. Krishna (my neighbor) bought 5M Dinar as an investment in his daughter's future. He told me not to expect an overnight windfall, but to get onboard and expect a 3-5 year return.
So here I am a little over a year later with my 1.25M.
I have a wonderful wife, 3 daughters ages 1, 4 and 13. I am hoping this investment will allow me to put them through college, since I never did.
I work as a professional auto mechanic and do just fine financially, but always wanted more. I am perfectly happy with what I have, don't get me wrong!
I love Rolclub and I too defected from IIF. Just stopped by a day ago and they are still swinging their clubs at each other LOL.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. People stateside may see me visiting them on my Harley, others I don't mind flying over to meet!
Thanks to everyone for their hard work (you know who you are  )
Whether it's tomorrow or in 3 years, I'm in for the long haul!
Good luck everybody!
