    Default Revalue Unnecessary

not sure if all ready posted but FYI

Snippet taken from interview with Executive Manager of the IASD:

    Q. "When do you believe the Central Bank of Iraq will revalue the Iraqi Dinar to a more legitimate exchange rate then the de facto peg as it currently stands?"

    A. "I don't see why the Central Bank needs to revalue the Currency, the exchange rate is almost stable."

    mmmmmmmm...

Like he's going to come out and say, 'yes, next week our value will be $1.48 to the dinar', lol.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

"the exchange rate is stable" is like saying "the patient is stable, doctor," about a dead patient.

Default To tell you the truth...

Any exchange rate at that low a price like the IQD would be stable and easy to keep stable... That is why they started it there. Because the govt. was so f'd up and needed stability in one area atleast. I think they can handle some friction now so they will R/v and we will be nice little investors and cash in!!!!
