Keeping track of the sense (cents)!
Hi ppl. Solid Investment is online again after a server malfunction. Scared some people. Heck, scared me too. It prompt me to write the following post on keeping track of your earnings.
Assume that you have USD100 or so to invest, like me I put it in 4 different baskets at around min of USD5-30 on a particular investment. Some pays daily and some compounds.
Example :-
A - draws daily USD0.81 cents 40 trading days
B - compounds needs also about 30-40 days
C - daily USD6.0 needs 10 days
D - compounds
So my investment needs around 60 days or so to make a profit. Its good if you can transfer daily profit to e-gold, play it safe. As for the compounding ones, its up to you whether to stick with it or transfer some out. The safer option would be to transfer out.
After you have regain your initial capital plus profit. Invest 50% from your profit! Start the cycle again. Never be tempted to pump in more money. Remember, we're lunch money investors not car payments, house payments or baby's milk fund. :fryingpan
I am not a financial advisor, please do your due diligence before investing in anything. Remember the golden rules, if it smells it probably is rotten. PM me if you have an opportunity.
So keep safe friends and be prosperous. Slow and steady. :woohoo:

Putting the squeeze on the gold!
Quote:
Why does the value in my account keep changing?
The amount of e-metal in your account is accounted by weight. This amount will only change when a transaction is performed to or from your account, or a storage fee is assesed. You can view these transactions and the amount of e-metal credited/debited to your account using the History function of the e-gold Account Manager. The Balance function also shows an equivalent fiat currency value of your e-metal - this value will fluctuate with changes in exchange rates. (excerpt taken from e-gold faq)
Why does this matter? For us lunch money investors, getting every nickel and dime's worth of our hard earned cash is our top priority. :woohoo: I know most metal trading, savvy investors know already what I am about to explain but let me explain it plainly for the LSI like myself. The value of gold in your E-gold account is calculated by weight x current gold price = amount. Look at the examples :-
Being paid.
....................Weight................. USD$ Rate
Gold........... 0.001465................ 0.81 USD 552.80
Gold ...........0.001427................ 0.81 USD 567.80
profit...........0.000038
Paying out.
....................Weight................. USD$ Rate
Gold .......... 0.036630.................20.00 USD 546.00
Gold ......... 0.035286.................20.00 USD 566.80
loss ...........0.000344
Conclusion when withdrawing from your earnings, check the gold price. Withdraw if the price of gold is low whereby getting more gold for the same currency value!
Deposit or spend when the gold price is high, you lose less gold this way.
This way you get a margin for your gold. When I make USD0.81 a day, I want to make sure I get my just dessert!
