The main problem is that HYIPs are all scams...or designed to say "bye bye" soon...

-If there is any telephone, you should call and check it.
-Use not only one HYIP-projects.
-The main newbies’ mistake that they invest minimum sum of money at the beginning, but when they receive percents, they invest much more. Admins know that and pay to «small» investors, but not to big ones.

If <...most HYIPs tend to fold within 6 months>, when would be the best moment to join? If it's too early in the program's lifespan, there may not be enough inverstors to back my payments, if it's too late, I'll just give my money away.

I've found some great information in this thread. I'm relatively new to HYIP's and the very first investment of $10 was a big fail The website disappeared after whole 5 days after the start-up so I was a bit disappointed But I'm trying with a new HYIP and hope this one goes well
