Each new trader first faces the question: which trades should I try? To make money in the market trader should decide for himself which type of trader he is, get educated and perfect that trades strategy.

We placed all traders in 6 general categories by trading types which traders do. Be sure to complete Free Trading Quiz to check which type best fits your personality.

Math and Statistic Traders: very analytical minds, who does not like to gamble, but take advantage of hi probability being right. In many cases they have a math, physics, or other exact science degree. The top choice for those traders is trading Options, since 80% of then expire worthless by selling out of the money option. It is much more data to analyze.

Fast Profit Traders: They do not like to sit on the stock, but instead they get in and out (swing trades). Best Fast Profit Traders will also trade Options along with right moving stocks.

Pattern Traders: They work best with graphs, they read and compare graphs much faster then numbers, have excellent visual memory, and looking for a patterns. It is interesting that beside the common patterns, everyone knows, this type of traders usually have at least 10 of their own, unique trends, which are applied to individual stocks or groups of stocks.

Day Traders: They sleep good at night, since they are out of their positions by the end of the trading day! They have to combine Patterns with intuition in order to sense day biggest move. Usually they watch 5-40 stocks on their screen closely, and sometimes it is good to trade in the room with other day traders, you can profit on you friend's tip if the move is big enough.

News Traders: Many stock will have a strong move if a news about the company will juct come out. News Traders will look for a strong move and high volume, they will then apply fundamental analyses to determine if the move was real or false.

Portfolio Traders: This type of traders will base their decisions on analyzing how the company is doing. They know how the company earnings will usually effect the stock move and if the company is changing CEO. Portfolio Traders prefer that long term approach, even if the market may be loosing its strength in the short term.
