Thoughts with the UK
Our thoughts go out to those involved in the terrorist bombings in London last night NZ time. It is so sad to see that there are people out there still that believe violence is the answer.
I have family and friends in London at the moment and they are scared, but defiant, they will not let someone else control or dictate how they live their lives.
Lets hope whoever did this, gets over themselves.

Thanks guys, I work in the City, our thoughts go out to those individuals that were just going about their day to day business yesterday when these heartless cowards struck.
There have been a few scares today but so far so good.
All the best

DITTO on above comments...........

My girlfriend knows someone that lost both her parents in it.
Very sad, these people are the lowest of the low.

Cheers Rich, don't know her personally just heard last night. Poor girl, can't imagine how she feels. Our prayers with her and anyone else that lost someone yesterday. :( :( :(

I voted, as I was also glued to the outcome of the Olympic vote for London and was glad it GOT IT...as I have more faith in the UK security on "undesirables" entering through HMS'es tight check and with what happened yesterday... all the more reason to step up for everyone's safety, though it may be uncomfortable for the few, we are looking at long term and FOR ALL.
Our prayers and condolences are with you all especially at the walking wounded and most of all, the love ones left behind in pain and sorrow. :(

At the risk of being controversial, I have to say that the last people in the
world Al Qaidah should have pulled on is the Brits.
Time and time again we have seen the solidarity shown by Britains when attacked. Sorry to our U.S. members, the Brits will not politicise this latest attack, they will get on with the job of ridding the world of these scumbags
with precision.
I am an Aussie, and I KNOW who I would want on our side.

I only hope that they don't pass laws to take away our freedoms, like the PATRIOT act did in the US.
Hopefully they will stop these scumbag extremists who preach their hatred on british soil, whilst claiming benefits. I REALLY hate those people.
The sad thing is that normal, peaceful muslims are now being vilified for the actions of the small minority that is bringing shame and hatred upon their own religion and people.

nej, the Patriot Act will be the next thing they bring in over here. We tend to follow the trend of whatever happens in the States.
If that happens I'll be emigrating to Spain or Portugal!!
-
Spain also not safe - remember the Madrid bombings last year?
-
Ok nej, go on then twisted me arm, the Algarve it is! Great weather, bars, food and not forgetting lovely golf courses!!
Yup, when our leader comes through, a big pad in Portugal it will be with pool etc.
How bout you?

It seems that nowhere is safe these days. I quite fancy living in Malaysia, funnily enough. It's a muslim country anyway and so unlikely to be bombed, and it's a very nice place all round.
