I got off the reservation and moved to Canada.
Good for you  Which rez did you move from?
Hi,
I am from the Northern Nevada Paiute Tribe. One of the poorest tribes of all. I used to work for them delivering Govt Commodities to 16 different reservations in Nevada and California.
The Govt feeds these poor people white flour, white sugar and canned food. All of those foods are poison to these natives.

THanks for taking an interest.
Finest regards,

VJ,
I understand how you feel. Although I am Cherokee (small part) I have a natural love and concern for what is happening with all Native American Tribes.
Several years ago I taught the Navajo and Apache Indian kids in Northern Arizona where I developed a deep love for them and a genuine concern for the way were being treated. They are a special people and are still treated badly by whites.
Since then I have moved back to Kansas but will return someday to work with them again.
Take Care,
Jan
hi jsully & quest4freedom
things have always been bad it seems on res. maybe thats why my great grandfather moved off . a cousin told me we are almost 1/2 cherokee but no one has proved it yet :? well take care
You should do a search in your genealogy to see if any of your ancestors are on the Roll. This can be done by contacting the Cherokee Nation in Talequah, OK. My grandfather was on the roll so my dad, sister & I all are now registered. As the line goes down the bloodline gets thinner but I am PROUD to be a registered Cherokee Indian!Quote:

....that`s what is wrong now. In order to be heard we need first to become a strong voice.
I really want to help my people in this lifetime. Many things must change.

Well,I have it on pretty good authority that all lands once belonging to the natives of North America will be returned fully to the natives;and without force from anyone.
What belongs to you will be returned.
So you are saying that most of the land in the US will be returned to the Indians? How will that be done and in what time frame?
I know in Nevada that 98% of the land is owned by the federal government. On the reservation, the Indians can buy the house, but they do not own the land on it.
I don`t see the govt turning anything thing back over. They have their focus on putting all the toxic atomic waste right there in the middle of the desert.
Plus their secret Area 51.
Rahly, tell me more

It won't be in this world;only the new.
When it does happen, there will be more tillable landmass, more space to live,etc.etc.
I can't say much more than that at this time.It gets kind of complicated the further you go into it;but it's also too simple,if you get my drift.
You should realise this won't be done by man alone.

hi jsully & quest4freedom
you won't get much actual support from here (in matters of money or time or ...) but I wish you good luck & strength in your quest...
I guess such territorial issues are universal problem from all over the world... just to mention the Palestinians or Jews (depending from the view), Aboriginals,... to which it seems that as time passes and things get more complicated, no definite solution which is 'just' to all involved will ever be reached. Still, I hope & believe in people's & (not revenge but) goodness' strength that a fair solution can be your part one day. Know that in the meanwhile, many carry you & your people in their hearts!
From far away Europe,

Hi Hasse,
Thanks for your input. I am completely behind helping people lovingly and peacefully. Two wrongs don`t make a right.
Education is the key for a better life in this day and age.
The Indian youth are the key to helping all and that is what I`m going to concentrate on in helping my people.
I won`t give up.
Thanks for your support.
