Whenever I install FreeBSD/Xfce4, I always jump around trying to fill in the little bits of configuration so that everything works correctly. I decided to create a guide for installing Xfce4 on a VMware guest computer running FreeBSD.
This includes a shell script to quickly handle all the work, as well as manual installation instructions.

Where is the VMware installation instruction?

I had problems with saving my settings on the VMware workstation. It took me time to solve the problem. I had to Install Shadow Defender inside the VMware and configure constantly entering Shadow mode on boot and discarding changes.
Of course, you do this only after you make the instant changes you want to save. Or use the snapshot option, but you will not automatically return to the old one each time you restart. You will already have to replace the snapshot.
Every new update brings something new we have to learn. The latest thing is the vsphere compatibility matrix. Thanks to Altaro, I learned it quickly.
