It all depends on the type of smart meters, but I know for sure that they help save a lot because recently I installed them and I control all the energy traffic!

It is estimated that seven million smart meters are already installed in houses throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The installation of smart meters is part of the largest infrastructure program that will be implemented in homes for more than 40 years.
