Daily Market Commentary for July 8, 2008 from Millennium-Traders.Com

Major foreign markets were sharply lower on the trading session with the major U.S. indices taunting negative territory throughout the trading day but, maintained positive territory into the early afternoon trading session. As the trading session moved into the final hour of trading, the DOW was successful at posting a triple digit gain.(read more)

Redbook data: U.S. Retail Sales fell 0.5% for five weeks of June versus May.

U.S. May Wholesale Inventories rose 0.8% as compared to expectations of an increase of 0.6%.

According to the National Association of Realtors, U.S. May Pending Home Sales fell 14.0% from May 2007 and
U.S. Pending Home Sales Index fell 4.7% in May.
