Polaroid Digital camera seems to be having trouble with the light meter!

Hello,
My Polaroid Digital camera seems to be having trouble with the light meter. It uses the flash when there is enough light but when it's dark the flash won't go off. I have it set on automatic flash. This wasn't a problem until recently. Should I contact the manufacturer to see about getting it repaired of are their any camera repair shops out there? Which are the best screwdrivers which help me to open and repair my camera?
