    Default (Ab)using language fora for communicating HYIP/... programs

    Update 23/9: added (first) remark.

    Hi, all, (and admin & mods in particular)

    I notice that language fora get (one more than the other) quite a number of posts about (whether or not new) programs worth having a look at, sometimes even in another language (e.g. German & English in Dutch forum) etc.

    In my humble opinion these belong more in the HYIP/... sections available at the bottom or our home page. And the language fora should be primarily for country/region specific topics (like Belgian taxes... can't imagine you're staying awake for that at Kuala Lumpur), informative summaries of the main threads on the main forum for those members not understanding english (enough), etc. But I'm open to hear why these kind of discussions should also remain available in the language fora too.

    What's your opinion?

    Some side remarks:
    - I noticed and am aware that the moderators probably do their best to limit this and move the posts to the appropriate section... (cf. earlier thread No referrel links please!) and many might consider this a minor problem... Still, I wanted to bring this under attention when I noticed I'm not the only member getting irritated. Hoping that if many agree with me, it might stop some of those posters (for which I would thank them wholeheartedly...);
    - don't knock me down if I'm too fast in my judgement... but it looks like the most important aim of these kind of posts (in the language fora, not in the sections provided for this) isn't to inform fellow members but rather member phishing to earn money: to direct people to these programs through the personal referral link... so that... when this or that program eventually turns out (enough) a success... the poster will have built up enough downline to receive an interesting fees income. As I don't see many non-referral linkers... ;-) Ã*nd... I see no reason why they shouldn't use the general hyip/... sections...
    Or am I too rough?
    - people in the language fora not able to understand english might be more vulnerable to making wrong decisions in participating in other program's (how will they do their due diligence research,....?), etc... So imho shouldn't be the primary target for other program promotions. Those who master english sufficiently have the main forum at their disposal.

    Don't understand me wrong: I agree there must be room for this often valuable knowledge exchange. But I think it's getting out of hand when such an (often small) language forum gets filled with a considerable amount of these (sometimes almost advertisements) posts instead of real valuable information (from the types I suggested above).

    Hasse

    ps Maybe a good compromise could be: one (fixed) thread in each language forum where members can draw the attention of their fellow country/region members at new/... opportunities by a link to a main forum thread... (HYIP etc)... where those interested can continue.

    ps Notify I didn't make the results of the poll public... so anyone is free to express without being blasted... ;-). If you want to make yourself known & add comments, there's plenty of room to post below. Thanks!
