I wonder if Thumper knows about this site?
It sure would be nice to hear from him in regard to latest developments in refunds. I know they are still having problems with the website.
Some people (like myself) cannot validate their payment. If you can't validate your payment and insert your personal details then you have no chance of getting a refund !!

    Oh well, stay optomistic !

And I understand they are working out the details of refunding as they promised. Yes there are some problems with the site...but these will be fixed in order to complete the details of all transactions and allow DBR to complete the very lengthy and detailed job they have ahead of them. I have no reason to doubt the integrity of the group or their intentions. I am disappointed that the "plan" did not follow through as I am sure everyone else is. But I am not going to sweat it over something I have no control over. Things will all work out fine in due time. And that's something we all have. Instead of moaning and groaning and worrying and fretting and getting upset and distraught over it all, why not do something more worthwhile? Sit and be quiet and watch what happens when you let go of it. Things start happening whether you involve yourself or not. It's quite nice to sit and watch...and wait. And pleasantly surprising how quickly things get attended to in a very efficient manner when we let the persons who ...CAN......DO...and not interfere in the process. Nothing worse than roadblocks getting in your way when you are trying to get somewhere fast.

Jessie, I have to admit I most admire your stoicness..

    Joe,

My name is Tiffany and I am working with Shana & Eric to help with their overwhelming workload.

It is unfortunate that PIPS felt forced to close the forums. It was at the urging of one of their new legal staff members.

To answer your questions regarding the 2% plan. I will paste Thumper's last post regarding this information:

“PIPSecured, mentor4u – welcome to the thread. I don’t feel that either of you are infringing on this thread as long as you meant well in the goals of your groups. I have never felt that there is any kind of competition intended between the different groups, though I know some have felt that is there still the same. I have no doubt, mentor4u that you were told that you “did it right” in Hawaii as you said. We also were complimented on our group and I don’t believe that Gary has any doubt that our heart was in the right place when we started this pool. Unfortunately, there has been a change of environment within PIPS, which brings me to the hardest post I’ve ever written. I shall call it:

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

    THE GOOD:

PIPS is real and I mean every word in that post. Bryan and Gary are here for us.

I have just been talking with Gary and the newest member of PIPS legal staff. I had traveled over here with several topics to discuss, including but not limited to:

    1) A batch processed/automated withdrawal system for DBR members,

    2) Setting up the DBR project PIC Trust account,

    3) Discounted PIC trusts for our members,

    4) A checks and balances system for the DBR PIPS Secure trust accounts (because there is only ONE signature required) where the trustee would have our four year plan in writing and would notify the other two members if there were any attempted deviations from the plan, and

    5) A few unannounced but strongly hoped for benefits for DBR members.

    THE BAD:

Gary and their newest legal staff member have just informed me that we will soon be sent a directive from PIPSINC to close the 3% project. Not just to DBR club members, but all collaborative accounts and investment clubs similar to DBR's. PIPS is working on the details of HOW and WHEN to close all of these groups.

The way it has been explained to us, and as I relayed in the aforementioned post and Bryan and Gary have both stated in past posts, PIPS is having trouble with banks and regulatory entities around the world. In my personal opinion, this supports the “conspiracy theory” that some have alluded to on the forums that there might be a conspiracy to “squeeze” PIPS out of existence. According to some, since PIPS is outside of their jurisdiction, they are going to extra measures to put the squeeze on any websites or investment club organizations that somehow involve PIPS. Examples of this include the Jolly PIPSter and DBR getting Cease and Desist orders.

PIPS newest legal staff member explained that it was absolutely VITAL that all groups like ours, formed for the benefit of its investment club members, be shut down immediately. This does not just apply to DBR members, but will be sent out as a directive to all such member groups. This will not be limited to groups formed with PIPS Secure in mind. NO GROUP WILL BE ALLOWED TO EARN ANY PROFIT for its members from an investment in PIPS Secure or any other PIPS program, even in the form of land or investment property, because in certain parts of the world it raises questions and right now PIPS has to be squeaky clean. We do not want to add to the problem or we threaten the very system that we have all grown to know and love. If we zoom out to the bigger picture, is it not best to keep PIPS alive?

At the beginning of this post, I referenced a forum thread where I am sending out a plea to all PIPSTERS to do whatever they have to do as individuals so that collectively we can make things better for PIPS. When I entered Gary’s office, I had no idea the shock that I was about to take. It’s an interesting feeling, sitting stationary in a rather ordinary looking office and suddenly one’s stomach drops out the bottom of the floor as though one were on a world-class roller coaster.

Most of the items I came to discuss were now obsolete. I believe PIPS position is firm and we, as members, are not being given a choice in the matter. I formally apologize, even though it is truly beyond my control. While Gary didn’t say so because he HAD to agree with PIPS new legal guy, it was apparent that he felt a certain degree of remorse as well. He knew our intentions, our integrity and our plan well before today.

As I have said from the very beginning, if PIPS Secure does not launch or for some reason we, as members, are not allowed to go through with this project, each participant will see his or her contribution refunded. Gary has been gracious enough to agree to assist in the direct refunds to each participant’s PicPay account. In order to expedite this refund process, we will be collecting PicPay usernames for each member..

One important question I asked Gary at this point was how they would close down the 2% account started for the members who elected the 2% component program (2 + 3) because the money in there has grown significantly. I asked him if we would be allowed to just divide it up between all the members so that each member would be returned approximately double their original contribution to the project. Gary replied, and the legal council agreed, that if ANYONE profits from a collaborative member group or investment club pooled account it would raise questions in various jurisdictions and they do not believe PIPS can’t afford that kind of scrutiny right now. They have to remain squeaky clean. All DBR accounts will be closed by PIPS.

What does this mean? According to Gary, each group member is going to get his or her refund with no interest and the amount remaining in the 2% account (interest and all) will be going back into the PIPS “general fund.” Please remember that this is all for the greater good. PIPS must survive. It could have been worse. What do I mean by that?

    THE UGLY:

What do I mean it could be worse? You could be me (that would be a lot worse). I expect that just about now, I’m about to become one of the most hated PIPSTERS on the planet. If you go back four years ago and examine my life, you would find someone who never really considered helping other people because I could barely help myself. I found PIPS and have enjoyed much more than financial relief, but a change on mind-set where not only do I think about helping people…it’s almost a need. I want to give. I want to help. Four years ago if someone had told me that in a few years I would be involved in a project like this I would have thought him or her mad.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that there is a plan for each of us. I can’t for the life of me think of why we were allowed to get this far in this project and fly over here, just to come to a complete halt. I know that I will be put where I am needed to be. I have been dealt a humbling blow in that I thought I knew where that might be. I am thankful for my wife, Susi, for being supportive through this. It makes it a lot easier to go through the hard times when you have someone by your side. The intentions of all DBR team members was only of the purest spirit of helping others and I hope that not one of our participants ever feels otherwise.

Participants will need to log into the DBR site and enter the PicPay username where they want a direct refund of their contribution. If that isn’t working on our site now, it soon will be. If a participant does not have a PicPay account at this time, they are free to set up at: http://www.picpay.com. We will then give the PicPay usernames to Gary so that PIPS can process the refunds. If you have any questions about this procedure, please review the FAQ pages on our site. Again, if it isn’t on the FAQ pages right now, forgive us, but we are just beginning to make these changes. I am confident that it will be at least 12-24 hours until these changes start taking place since I am just starting to write these and the people who will actually make the changes are asleep on the other side of the globe.

    ------------------ ------------------- --------------------- -----------------------

For those interested in the VAT platform, while I was in Gary’s office, Bryan had the final contract in front of him and it sounded as though if they sign that deal and get their initial funds today, the whole platform would be up and running in full in about two full working weeks. PIPS Coffee House will be adding more blends, including Kona, to their lineup. Withdrawals have been verified up until May, so don’t cancel withdrawals that you have made through May…they just have to get them out. The number of withdrawals have increased – “escalated” is the word Gary used. He says that if it keeps escalating at the current level, it may very will be the end of December until he’s caught up to the end of December in withdrawals. (It’ll be nice to go back to the days of a wire coming in the week after we ordered it.)

I’m going to post this and then I’m going to go see some sites. This visit has not gone ANYTHING like what I had originally intended and hope to at least get some good pictures out of this trip. I’ll work on relaxation when I take the next.

    Default CRESIS!!!!!!!!

Stoic - impassive to pleasure or pain??? Oh my! No way! I don't know if that was an insult or a compliment. HA! Rest assured though, I do try to ensure that money does not control me or my level of contentment or satisfaction in the things that I do in and with my life. I use it...don't we all? And having more will allow me to do more of the things I enjoy - certainly! But I also hope I never let it get the better of me or my behavior. I couldn't promise that having a whole lot of it all at once wouldn't change the way I live or my lifestyle, I just have to hope it will be in a good and positive way.
