Yes, I think there will be a convention! :D
Last year (or actually; THIS year) we could book up until the last of January - and the convention was in March. In Hawaii, it was already "decided" that it would be later next year, due to being in Europe and not being so nice weather early in spring. So it is supposed to be in late April or May. So I think that there is still time, even if we can't book yet.
BTW, first it was planned to open the bookings in June, but later it said (on the convention site) that bookings would be in ...December? (I'm not sure, but LATE in winter anyway). So I guess they figured that 1. That IS enough time to pay organisers etc, and 2. that "nobody" wouöld book in the mess we are now and that it would be better to fix the mess first:) And THAT coincides (sp?) with Bryan's statement that it will be a bumpy road the rest of the year!
But to me - the everlasting optimist - that means that they knew back then that it WOULD take time, and that they HAD a timeline - and that they WILL fix it! :)
( Today I am an "everlasting optimist"...tomorrow I may be down under my shoes... :( Is that what is meant by "dual personality"? :? )

Yes, despite the current blaze engulfing the northerly regions, we are going to Portugal as booked, on a "recce" holiday trip personally and doing some convincing research on behalf of our "partying group" to check out the potential lodgings as was proposed for a group arrangement, should the Convention be held as plan. :D

If it does go ahead it would be really nice if there were badges available so we could see who had the "gonads" to admit they were overly hasty in predicting doom.
