Well twicewise looks like BioE has sidestepped all your problems with their umbilical cord blood stem cell research. I notice you haven't said anything about it. I should think you'd be happy your precious blastocysts will be safe now.

Catmando,
I am encouraged by the research in umbilical cord stem cells. I have great respect for those who spend their time and energy in scientific endeavor for the betterment of all mankind. I just believe that there are some ethical limits that we should not cross during the furtherance of that research.

Spirit,
I have been doing a lot of thinking about the kind of person that I want to be. Because high minded rhetoric doesn’t account for much unless I am willing to invest my time, energy, and imagination behind those ideals. In fact the content of my character, and the reality of the kind of person that I am can be determined a lot more by the way I spend my time and money than by the words that I say. This discussion has made me ask the question, “Where am I investing my life. What habits, words and deeds am I funding with my time, and what habits, words, and deeds are being ignored.â€
Discussions such as this help to focus the mind on issues that really matter. Life should be lived around things that really matter, not things that fade and disappear.
Thank you for your kind comments.

There is new research that may be able to turn a person's own skin into stem cells. Read more about it by clicking here
