Precious Time

Have you smelled the wild honeysuckle's
After a warm summer rain?
Have you ever noticed beads of water
Sparkling on rose peddles…after the rain?
Have you seen the fog give way as it rises,
To meet the clouds…after the rain?
Have you counted the colors in the rainbow
After the rain has gone away?

Have you seen the willows weeping
As they blew in the wind to hide their tears?
Have you sat in the woods and just listened,
The beauty of silence…hear the stillness?
Have you seen a leaf twirling in the wind,
So many patterns before the ends.

Have you watched the sun as it breaks
Across the mountain tops?
Have you just stopped for a moment
To see the sun set over a lazy pond?
Have you seen the lady slipper dry her
Dew drops in the warmth of the sun?
Have you by chance noticed the sunbeams
As they flicker through the mighty oak?

Have you walked in a meadow of flowers,
And thought to yourself…they want for nothing?
Have you searched for a four leaf clover
Feeling so lucky when you found one?
Have you pulled peddles off of daisies…
You love me, you love me not…you love me!

Have you listened to the wind howling it's song
On a cold winters night?
Have you felt the wind off the ocean…
As it carries your dreams out to sea?
Have you noticed the wind beneath the wings
As the eagle soars with such freedom?
Have you seen the love in my eyes… for you
Or maybe you just didn't have any "precious time?"
