Choose your broker

Rule number one to me is never work with a broker that have an own dealing desk. They will trade against you. They hate news traders and scalpers, because if you are good at it they will lose money. That's not their business plan. Always look for a broker with direct market access. also called ECN's. In hat case the broker is not your counter party. Those are real brokers in the original sense of the word. They bring buyers and sellers together and charge a small commission. Most of them offer deep liquidity for up to really big amounts, also over the eco releases. Also some now offer FIX Api. It means basically you can connect your trading model, if you have one, directly to the brokers software. You will have extremely quick filling and wont lose a second and missing out on a price. At the moment your method shows a buy signal your broker has filled you already and set your stops. There are various good brokers in this field. Also that offer small accounts. With small I do not mean $ 200. As if it's only a few hundred you are prepared to invest learning forex or operating in the market forex just isn't for you but between $3-5K would do already. I arrange introductions to the main ones, am well connected, after having been 25 years in the markets, of which 20 years as a pro. I do not want to promote myself here whatsoever but just want to share. I think all traders ,noobs and advanced ones, deserve an excellent broker as usually a failing broker plus under capitalization form for 80% the reason why traders are very fast out of the markets again, apart from the high leverage as used by many. And last but not least, if you are looking for the broker with the best "reward bonus", forex really isn't for you as you shoudn't need those $ 100 bucks and besides those "brokers" only give you money as they are 90% sure it will flow back into their pockets.
For the Direct Access brokers it's elementary to keep the customer in their books because as long as you are a customer they can charge you brokerage. Besides they don't care about scalpers and news traders!!
