Thread: Penny Stock Trading

Hey everyone!

I was just wondering if any of you "experienced" traders know of a good honest and reliable broker so I can trade Penny Stocks? I am basically looking for a broker offshore say in Panama perhaps? If anyone knows of a company that allows for Penny Stock trades located offshore somewhere I'd be very interested! I would like to find a company that offers a low min. opening account balance as well if possible. Thanks in advance for any help someone can give me.

I guess nobody in here trades Penny Stocks so I shall assume most people in here probably have enough money to trade real stocks eh lol. I guess I gotta start somewhere and it's all I can afford at the moment lol. Anyhow, just an update that I found a good broker and am having fun with my Penny Stocks . If there is anyone here however that does trade in Penny Stocks perhaps we could exchange views on different penny stocks? Ciao for now everyone!

Personally when I saw an advert on MSn messanger sayin 'trade stock for only $4' I thought 'what the hell? I have enough to trade the forex!' , but it should surely be more fun than lottery :-D

Rob, I use Scottrade and Schwab right now, Scot:7.00 flat for any stock above 1.00, anything smaller and there is an additional percentage added to total order. Schwab has flat 9.95 for anything regardless of shares.

Research wise Schwab hands down. Plus you can Bank with them. Scot just a broker.

I hear Ameritrade is OK too...

Try em all, just dont pick any losers and the commissions usually don't matter much.

Thanks Hogan for the info. I use a brokerage company called OptionsXpress (https://www.optionsxpress.ca/login.asp) and so far have found them to be really good with fairly cheap commissions. Sometimes if you find a company with really low commissions, they will also give you 'low' service (you get what you pay for right?) but it's not always the case.

Thanks for the suggestion Wacky! I only recently began looking into trading Penny Stocks, mainly because I cannot afford to play in the big leagues just yet lol. Basically Penny stocks in MY point of view is any company trading under $2. There is a company that I have been using that has a wealth of information in their website regarding Penny Stocks and everything you need to know. (http://www.peterleeds.com/). PeterLeeds does the research for you on companies that they feel are going to become HOT now or in the near future. They have their 'Weekly Hot List Reports' and every quarter, they come out with their ultimate HOT LIST of companies they feel are going to be HOT. There are some stocks on his list trading for as low as $0.06 cents right now.
