Thread: New ForexCup contests in 2013

Registration in a new contest, which will be held since March, 4 till March, 8 2013

Two contests have been already held at ForexCup during 2 months of 2013. As a result, 59 best participants received prizes and bonuses totally amounted to more than $6000.

For example, 103 traders participated in the past weekly contest and 30 best participants got real cash bonuses. The winner received $371. According to statistics, the level of competition in ForexCup contests is not really high – usually, every third participant receives a cash prize!

The forthcoming contest will not be an exception. The time has been already set and the competition will be held since March, 4 till March, 8. An entry fee is just $3.

REGISTRATION

The terms of the contest are standard. On the 1st day of the competition each participant receives a virtual deposit - $5000 with a leverage of 1:100. After the start of the contest (at 1.00, Monday, in accordance with FXOpen terminal time) you have to trade at the Forex market using all available instruments.
The main task is to get the biggest profit by the end of the contest. While participating, you will trade on ECN demo account, which provides an additional opportunity to appreciate all the advantages of that FXOpen service.

The participant with the biggest profit by the end of the contest will become a winner.

The more traders participate, the bigger the prizes will be, because entry fees are included into the prize fund. It is necessary to mention that there are 5 prizes for the most successful traders. Everyone, who increases a start-up deposit by 10% or more, will receive a cash bonus.



There are 5 prizes:
1st place - $256 + 50% from the sum of entry-fees + bonus;
2nd place - $128 + 25% from the sum of entry-fees + bonus;
3rd place - $76 + 15% from the sum of entry-fees + bonus;
4th place - $25 + 5% from the sum of entry-fees + bonus;
5th place - $25 + 5% from the sum of entry-fees + bonus.

Cash bonuses:
As a result of the contest, all participants, who increase a start-up capital by 10% or more, will get 1%* from the received profit.

Key dates:
March, 4 – the contest will start;

March, 8 – the contest will end;
March, 11 – results will be summed up.

*Bonuses’ limitations:
-The amount of the bonus for one trader cannot exceed $ 250;
-The total amount of all bonuses in the competition cannot exceed $1000. If the budget is exceeded, we will reduce the bonuses based on the difference between the actual sum of all bonuses and our budget.

Withdrawal of bonuses
Bonuses can be withdrawn once you complete the following requirements: no earlier than in 30 days; also you should make at least 20 trades of 10 minutes each one.

Withdrawal of prizes:
Prizes can be withdrawn at any time, in other words, after receiving prize money to your trading account, you can withdraw it through any payment system available at FXOpen.

The first spring ForexCup contest

A new contest “FX Market ******* March 2013” will be held since March, 18 till April, 12. The prize fund of the tournament amounts to $5000. A winner will become a Manager of a PAMM ECN account with the balance of more than $1000!

The winner of the comparable contest, “FX Market ******* February”, received the PAMM ECN account with the balance of $1651. Together with bonus, his prize capital totally amounts to $1901! Therewith, 29 best participants of the competition received prizes for a total of almost $5000 (read more).

We invite everybody to take part in our new competition for traders “Test your luck! Hit the mark!”
Contests of a type “Guess the course” are usually held at FXOpen forum. We invite everybody to join the nearest one - «FX Insight. Test your luck! Hit the mark! (EUR/nzd on 16.03.2013)».

For this once participants have to guess the course of EUR/nzd at the end of the trading day on March, 15. Rates will be accepted until March, 11 and the winner will get a cash prize ($30 to his account) on March, 18!

Terms of the contest:
1. You have to add your forum’s nickname to your bet (for example, nickname – your bet);
2. Spreads between participants’ bets should be no less than 5 points. For example, if there has been already made a bet for 1.2000, all other participants should choose variants not closer than 1.2005 or 1.1995;
3. It is forbidden to repeat someone else’s rate;
4. Each participant is able to make only one bet;
5. You are not able to change or delete your prediction;
6. If your bet has been declined, you can leave ONE new bet which totally complies with the rules. Please, be attentive – just one bet from one user can be in the list of accepted rates

All the bets, which do not comply with previous paragraphs, will be deleted.

The Contest "Best FXOpen Forum Trader - Spring 2013”

FXOpen announces a new contest for the best trader of its forum. The event starts on April 1 and will last for 4 trading weeks! The prize fund makes up to $1200, while the most successful participants will receive real cash bonuses totaling $800!

The contest invites all registered forum users, who have opened a demo account and made at least 30 posts.

According to the rules of the competition, each participant is required to describe every trade he makes in the competition account, at the opening of which he receives the initial deposit of $5000. If this term is violated, the participant will be disqualified and deprived of his prize.

All the participants are encouraged not only to indicate the parameters of their trades (like currency pair, lot size, Buy/Sell and so on), but to reason their trading behavior, make some forecasts and share plans for their future trading activity. Guide on ForexCup Prizes and Bonuses

Basic requirements:

- During the competition each participant should perform the minimum number of trades of the required volume (traditionally: 5 trades of 5 lots’ total volume for the weekly contest and 20 trades of 20 lots’ total volume for the monthly contest);
- After the competition each participant should make at least one post in the corresponding thread of FXOpen Forum (otherwise prizes and bonuses will be abolished).



PRIZE withdrawal terms:

You can withdraw your prize with no restrictions through any payment system available at FXOpen.
Prizes over 1000 USD fall under special terms of withdrawal (as a rule, you have to open a PAMM ECN account and perform a decent number of trades on it before withdrawal).



BONUS withdrawal terms:

You can withdraw your bonus:

- no earlier than in 30 days after obtaining it;
- after making at least 20 trades of 10 minutes' long each.



Bonus calculation FORMULA:

The bonus payable to a real trading account is equal to one percent (1%) of the profit gained.

For example, if a trader earns $5000, a $50 bonus will be deposited to his/her account.

However, there are 2 bonus limitations:
- The amount of bonus for one trader cannot exceed $250 (so, if you earn more than 500% profit your maximum bonus will still remain $250).
- The total amount of all bonuses in a particular competition cannot exceed the declared bonus budget (usually $1200). If the declared bonus budget is exceeded the bonuses will be reduced based on the difference between the actual sum of all bonuses and the declared bonus budget.
For example, if the sum of all actual bonuses in a particular competition (actual bonus budget) amounts to $ 1500 and the total sum of the declared bonuses (declared bonus budget) is exceeded, the sum of the bonuses payable to the traders will be reduced by $300 ($1500 - $1200 = $300).

So, the FORMULA for bonus calculation is as follows:

Bonus = (1% of your profit) * (Declared bonus budget / Actual bonus budget)
