The benefits of network monitoring software I have seen

I wanted to share this story for any mangers or other authorities that might be considering adding network monitoring software to their work computers – DO IT! It really helped cut down on wasted time. I made it clear right before we started using the service that I did not mind if people answered their personal emails or even checked Facebook – we do not care what you do if it only distracts you for a minute or two.

At the same time, please keep in mind that you are in a professional setting and are being paid to be here. You would be amazed at how shocked some employees were when they were told that they could not play those silly webgames.

Not only has it increased productivity a bit (I am not going to lie and suggest everyone is now a mindless drone) but I also feel that in the event that we do ever need to let someone go, we are now protected from that side because we have the evidence that we might need.
