    Default Latest News From Best Gold Card.

    Here is the latest news from BestGoldCard as of Tuesday January 30th, 2007:

    (1) Refunds via cheque. For those cardholders who have a BGC debit card issued
    by "NYCCU" and wish to be issued a refund of their card balance via ** CHEQUE **
    please email BGC Support at:

    [email protected]

    for further instructions. Said refund would be supplied directly by the
    network. The refund cheque would be denominated in USD and would come from
    Canada. It would be sent to your official address of record with BGC and only
    to that address. Please note that it is impossible to change your postal
    address of record. Any request to have your address changed will be ignored.
    Unfortunately it is unclear how long it would take for such a cheque to be
    issued and sent.

    (2) Refunds via your DGC. BGC is continuing to push for the ability for our
    cardholders to refund their card balance through BGC via their DGC account
    (e-gold(TM) or 1mdc(TM)). We should have more news about this possibility next
    week.

    (3) New cards. BGC considered launching a new card that would function on the
    STAR network. Though these cards work well enough we didn't ultimately feel it
    was a good fit for BGC or our customers. The STAR network is considerably
    smaller than alternate networks (particularly internationally) and generally has
    much higher fees. For these reasons we have rejected the STAR card for our
    purposes.

    (4) New cards -- again. BGC is pleased to announce that we have new cards in
    the works. It is possible that these new cards will be available for sale as
    early as next week. We should have a more definitive date shortly and will make
    an announcement regarding the cards and their availability ASAP.

    Here is the latest news from BestGoldCard as of Thursday February 22nd, 2007:

    (1) Refunds via your DGC. BGC and BGC's attorneys are continuing to push hard
    to allow our cardholders to refund their card balances through BGC via their DGC
    account. We obviously believe that this is still a possibility and we have not
    given up hope. The bank is still reconciling their books and as such, no refund
    requests via cheque have been filled.

    (2) Refunds via cheque. For those cardholders who wish to "give up" waiting for
    a refund via your DGC, you may certainly do so. Please email BGC Support at:

    for further instructions on how to receive a refund via cheque. Unfortunately
    it is unclear how long it would take for such a cheque to be issued and sent.
    Once again, to BGC's knowledge, no card refund cheques have been issued to date.

    (3) New cards. BGC has officially settled on what we believe to be the best new
    card product available. This card should be available "immediately" which, in
    banking industry terms, means sooner rather than later! In all sincerity, we
    are hesitant to issue a projected shipping date beyond "a few weeks" due the
    fluctuating time lines of our suppliers. Having said that, it seems likely that
    the new cards will probably be available within a week or two. For example, BGC
    has in fact paid for the printing of our new cards. Until we have the cards in
    our possession and are able to ship them however, we will not commit to a date.

    BGC's new card product is *not* a STAR network debit card. The STAR network is
    considerably smaller than alternate networks (particularly internationally) and
    generally has much higher fees. For these reasons we have rejected the STAR
    card for our purposes. BGC is EXTREMELY EXCITED to be offering this new card
    product, which will take DGC use to a new and more professional level than ever
    before! As previously stated, any existing BGC cardholder will be able to
    obtain one of the new cards at a token price.

    (4) Improved Shipping. You will be pleased to hear that BGC has yet again
    improved our industry-leading automated shipping and handling system. Shipping
    should be better and smoother than ever.
