I definitely think Compactsurfing is the number one right now. Paying fast, stable, transparent, and with visions for the future ,f.i. the debitcard. Also they allow you to show several sites , and it is easy to earn your credits. With phoenixsurf there were irregularities with the payment, and the support was not very efficient either. Wiredsurf took a lot of time before they paid , and hard to get any credits so you could show own ads.
The only difficulty I had was that I had to use a yahooadress, since they did not accept my ordinary e-mailadress. Whether this was temporary during their Dos difficulties I cannot say.
