Also, there are special equipment and chemicals needed to clean carpets so it’s a pretty pricey endeavor to get into this business.

If you decide that carpet cleaning is where you will be most effective at, and then make sure that you know your carpets. There are different types of carpet and some would require a different cleaning technique than the others. Usually, when a client contacts you, you will have to go to the site or have someone else go to distinguish what type of carpet it is, how large the carpeted area is, how much stain can be removed and what marks will stay. That would then be the time to create a costing, considering how much time will be used up to shampoo, what type of shampoo will be used, and how much time is needed for drying. Always be upfront about the time and the price to your clients.

Lastly, you can also choose to go into commercial cleaning services. This is the most expensive and most challenging among the three since this entails a whole lot of workload from cleaning toilets to offices. Much care is needed because a cleaning disaster may cause the office to temporarily shut down. If you get into this business, you will need bonds and insurance. Nonetheless, of the three types, commercial cleaning services would be the most profitable.
