I think all the reviews are just a marketing ploy.

LOL, who doesn't read the review before buying any particular service or technic. It's not like you will spend 2 bucks for that. It might be a serious amount of money that you'll have to pay. Nowadays, many people are opening more businesses and creating new web pages for their marketing; others are merging two websites into a single solution and using different tactics. Even if it's a new technic, it doesn't mean that it's a poor quality one. Yes, Seo will affect the electronic sales, but by the time passing, if the product is bad, it won't be stable on the market for a long time.
