    Default Lop

    Hi

I have recently begun researching the Dinar and Dong.

I hear some talk of a possible LOP.

Can somebody give a synopsis of what this means and how it pertains to the dong

    Thank you

If I understand correctly a Lop is changing the denominations by dropping zeros from the bills, such as a 100,000 denom would be changed to a 100 droping 3 zeros.
you would have a certain amount of time to exchange bills for new denoms

    hope this helps

So if I bought 40 25,000 Dinar totaling 1 million dinar I would end up with 40 25 dinar?

Would the dinar value go up by 100....kinda like a reverse split?

Lops only take place in countries with crappy economies like Russia and Venezuela. VietNam has the fastest growing economy in Asia...you do the math!!

So the other posts are correct in their explanation of what a LOP is?

In the rare chance a LOP happens and I have a denomination of 25,000 and it goes to 25 do I have to exchange my 25,000's to 25's? Or are the 25,000's just treated as 25? Or is there another "solution"?

    Thanks again

PS - I am VERY new to this stuff and want to expand my knowledge. I know how stock message boards get testy when somebody asks questions and the "longs" think they're bashing. This is not the case...I am considering a large purchase of Dong and Dinar.
