Why Markets are plunging these days?

I wonder most of the markets across the globe are seeing a great plunge of late. I guess this could be related to u.s. market's recession. If this is not the reason, then let me know what else could be the real reason for it?

This is not exactly due to US recession but it is due to the fact that, there was just unprecedented rise of the markets earlier.This is a form of correction which was due for quite a long time.
