Thread: Heres a new rumor for all of you

According to intel from high and respectable sources, which was passed on to, then posted by, the chief of another dinar forum, what happened last night was...an Iraqi news agency somehow acquired the rate that CBI will be Reval'ing the dinar at, then passed that info on to fxtops- a currency site, who then listed it as fact on their site! This info was then picked up by others and posted on their currency sites! Later, CBI was contacted and they denied the RV. After that, the various sites started dropping the new- but false rate.
This rate has been promoted by a couple of dinar forums for a few months now.
It is strongly believed that the Reval will occur before the end of November.
(Yes, smarty-pants- that's 2009!) I believe it also- that's why I acquired a little more, recently. I'm a sucker for a good rumor...

I heard about this last night as a dinar buddy called me at work to tell me. Very exciting news, but in the light of this morning he could not confirm the reval, so I told him to call Dinar Trade and find out. So we found out that the reval did not happen. I will say KUDOS TO ORKALLEN for coming back and explaining as what happened. Thanks. May be a reval by christmas would be great.

#1. I don't like to start trouble: I did enough of that 2, or was it 3 years ago- and it was about this time in November too... at Thanksgiving time to boot! Anyway...
#2. I don't like to get other people in trouble: (see #1, above- I got others in trouble then.)
#3. I don't like to be in trouble: (see #1, above- I was quite embarrassed by the whole "orrdeal" when things did not pan out the way I was led to believe.(this is not me rolling on the floor laughing, this is me rolling on the floor screaming in severe pain and anguish...)

Rumors that don't pan out, most often cause trouble.
Rumors, Info and Intel obtained from other forums and posted elsewhere- here at ROLClub for example, cause trouble. Some people have taken info gleaned from one source and presented that same info as if they were the original source- at a different site. This makes the true original source mad when they discover what happened.

So? Well, with my past experience always fresh in my mind, I am reluctant to pass on the current, way-cool, exciting and totally awesome rumors that are flying around different forums right now! I don't go to other forums- but I think I would like to. I do have something better- I have a friend who does it for me, and only passes the good stuff on to me. This way I don't have to waste so much time. But- he is a good friend and I don't want to get him in trouble or have him get mad at me for sharing info I should have kept to myself.

Man-O-Man there is a Code Red RV at the other forums today! Most are looking at Tuesday the 17th as an important date- but feel the RV might happen Monday. CBI announced it will be closed Wed-Sat., but here in the US we will be able to start exchanging on Fri. the 19th.
Now- DO NOT go buy more dinar (if you can get it) because you read this post! It is rumor and is for entertainment purposes only!
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see if I have any cash advance money left in my account. I'll post more as i get Intel passed on to me.(this is me rolling on the floor laughing.)

all seems quiet on the Iraqian front today....i wonder if they are setting their machines up for the revel that might happen sometimes soon??...saw where the CBI is closed until Wednesday....hmmmmmm...might be something...or again it might be nothing....with these Iraqi people moving as ""FAST"" as they do anything is possible....lol...lets all hope and pray it is what we think it is....time will tell.....GO DINARS...Pat

I agree with those that are saying that if the RV doesn't happen Mon. or Tues. it won't happen this week. Sources at other forums still claim at the very least it will be this month!
It better 'cause I've got them dang credit card bills coming due again soon...and when the wife finds out about that latest cash advance.....well, let's just say that without the RV I'll be living like one of those poor Iraqis- in a tent with no electricity, no fuel, no food and no money.

I have copied & pasted Seaview's post #505 from the Think Tank section. The reason I have done this is because I wish to discuss this in view of the latest rumors. If you look at one of my posts a while back you would find that I stated something like...
"No Election Law-No RV."
I said that as soon as we saw the E.L. we would see the RV right after. Boy was I excited 9 days ago when it looked like the E.L. was passed by Parliament, even though there were several disgruntled Iraqi's that felt they were being shafted. I was sure that it would be signed by the authorities and immediately registered in the Law book so that they could schedule the January elections asap.
Well, as the article below reveals- I was quite wrong. So...until we see the E.L. actually passed by all those involved, don't expect the RV.
Now, not only is this holding up the RV of the IQD, the IMF won't release 9 (or was it 11?) other currencies that will basically be RV'd at about the same time with the IQD as just "one of the gang". In conclusion, it still looks very good for the RV by the end of November, at a rate of $1.49.

Iraq VP warns of rejecting election law

The deadline set by Iraqi Vice President Tarek Al Hashemi for the Parliament to respond to his letter calling for MPs to amend the paragraph concerning Iraqi refugees in the elections law has come to an end.

Al Hashemi warned that if Parliament does not respond to his letter by Tuesday, he will contest the law.

His letter calls to increase compensatory seats in Parliament from 5 to 15% and ensure fair allocations to refugees.

Iraq’s Parliament legal committee announced that it has no response to Al Hashemi’s letter calling on him to ratify or reject the law.

It remains to be seen if this is all just postering by the Kurds, or if they mean to carry through with this. We'll have to see what comes out in the next few days, weeks.

Al, thank you for keeping up with current "intel",, Seaview, as always, your efforts are appreciated..This trip we are on sure has it's exciting twist and turns. One thing for sure is we have made the trip with pretty good folks around us and had a heck of an education to boot. Come on $1.49.....LOL Heck Al, $0.149 works for me....
