President bush has stated that the United States would be reimbursed for the cost of the Iraqi war before he leave office. Well he only has less than three weeks it is possible and if so what would that mean to our reval if anything, I tend to think it was just his Pontificating on hopeless happening

This was probably based on restoring the peace and everything that goes with that in a matter of months instead of years.

I sincerely doubt that any RV was his thinking. I agree with livefree, and I believe it was based on oil supply to recover the cost of a very expensive and deadly war. Who knows, maybe it will rv in a few weeks and I will have to change my thinking again..:>) Hope everyone has a Blessed and prosperous 2009. 67

Did any of you noticed... seriously I mean...NOTICED the annals of the last two years on the State Dept's involvement and that of any coming off the Office of Dr Rice and all the other leaders in the Senate and leading to all others outside the Administration and beyond to the major Coalition partners regarding the Dinar or anything surrounding the currency albeit in a RV approach as a solution?
NO??? Of course not... and why should it thus far?
Its the least of importance for the Presidential/Foreign Afffairs agenda 2B honest.
What Bush refers is somewhat and completely of the mark as most would like to associate it with... wishful thinking mates!!!
His departure and legacy is a wish any departing President would desire and that is expected of but nothing in the least to do with a RV as we all here understand and long for.
C'mon... be realistic and put yrself in the Politician's shoes... and not in the model or customize pair type that is slung at the President...LoL.
Yes and indeed it is hoped, some compensation and payback can be met/arranged someday as Iraqis are all too aware of the human toll and suffering from immeasurable sacrifices and losses made by American brave families and soldiers to save a country from a tyrannical dictator coupled with the fact that oil is also a key component to the cause as a whole under a controversial reason i.e. the WMD search & recover, which resulted in shambles unfortunately.
Let Obama run his first 100 days in Office and after that, start re-evaluating the odds or the chances again about the Dinar's return with a significant hope for all you, us and buyers alike on the NID.

one thing is for sure...G.W. will leave office a very wealthy man because of oil price increases during the past year in which he and his father have stock in and his presidential approval rating will be the lowest of any past president....and the economy is in shambles thanks to a combination of democrats and republicans alike who are only concerned about how much they can rake or take in while they are in office....it has been a long time since any form of this government, whether it be democrat or republican...has been a government OF,FOR,or BY the people as stated by our forefathers,.,...all common folks like us can hope and dream of is for some type of revel so we can reap some of the benefits in an otherwise bad economic situation that was brought on upon years of greed and overspending in our governmental system...IMHO..Pat
