commit lozenges are great, they really do help keep the cravings down, i used them, and then slipped up after quitting the commits......

No way, no how! I did not do it on my own, so I don't deserve any praise. I had just made the decision to live for God and I knew that He wanted me to quit, so with a lot of prayer and help from Him I was able to. I guess you could say that my desire to please Him was greater than my desire to smoke, so there you go. I had tried a couple of times before that with no success.

And so not to sound as though I think that I am holier than thou, I have quite a few other habits that need to go, but nevertheless, it is a process.

Kinda makes me mad when I hear about the 800 or so chemicals that the tobacco companies put into the cigs to keep people addicted, 47 of which have been proven to cause cancer. This is definitely one of the ways our government has let us down. The tobacco industry contributes so much $$$ to our reps/congress/officials that they can and do get away with murder. No pun intended cause none needed!

I agree completely in all aspects of the tobacco related stuff, but no matter how humble you try to remain in your victory, God gave us all willpower and the ability to make decisions, give yourself some credit too, you used the things God gave you and are now reaping those rewards!

    Default the Triple Seven Therory

As a Tobacconist of 20 years, I truly hope that your 7/7/07 therory pans out as I would be willing exchange your marlboros for a fine pack Shepards Hotel, the finest and smoothest cig from Germany made today.

Funny this subject came up; I just feel with a change of life and stress gone I could get away from cigs. I don't mess around-If I'm gonna get some dinar, by golly I'm gonna get enough to make a difference. And if I'm gonna smoke, well, no little ol sissy cigs for me, no sir, Marlboro Reds, thank you. And I get the 100's (cause they make smoke breaks at work longer!).
But to the thing with our government; This is one of the things that sticks in my craw, and I just can't swallow it. There are two kinds of laws: Those that protect others from us, and those that protect us from ourselves. And there has been plenty of laws passed to protect ourselves from ourselves.
What I can't get past is by allowing it (in other words, condoning (sp?) it)
it just negates the whole psychology of the direction our government trys to convince us it is headed. IT MAKES ME MAD that they allow it to continue KNOWING it is a proven killer. I can't imagine how some must feel that have lost a loved one on account of double-faced back-stabbing politicians and the tobacco companies. I could go on and on cause its not right. But this soap box is only so big, and I like to pace while I rant.
just numb . . . waiting for a new rumor!
