Hi all; :smile:
I might like to add about supernatural encounters. Did you Know The prophet Daniel was a Magician. :eek: His name was Beltashazzsar which means "Lord of the Sun".
In Daniel 4:4-9; he was known as the HEAD of the Magic practicing priests of Babylon. He was able to cast and uncast spells such as in untying knots ( a form of witchcraft today ). A wise person is a witch or if a male like Daniel a warlock. The word witch means wise one.He would not be able to be a head magician as far as the king is concerned if he could nopt weild any magical power. He was a prophet - in that he could interpret dreams ( a Mantis ) and predict the future ( a Seer ).
Daniel 4: 4-9 says -
4 “I, Nebuchadnezzar, happened to be at ease” in my house and flourishing in my palace.” 5 There was a dream that I beheld, and it began to make me afraid. And there were mental images upon my bed and visions of my head that began to frighten me. 6 And from me an order was being put through to bring in before me all the wise men of Babylon, that they might make known to me the very interpretation of the dream.’
7 “At that time the magic-practicing priests, the conjurers, the Chalde’ans and the astrologers” were entering; and I was saying before them what the dream was, but its interpretation they were not making known to me. 8 And at last there came in before me Daniel, whose name is Belteshaz’zar according to the name of my god and in whom there is the spirit of the holy gods; and before him I said what the dream was:
9 “0 Bel•teshaz’zar the chief of the magic-practicing priests, because I myself well know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you’ and that there is no secret at all that is troubling you, tell the visions of my dream that I have beheld and its interpretation.”
And again in Chapter 5:7-13 it says;
7 The king was calling out loudly to bring in the conjurers, the Chal•de’ans and the astrologers. The king was an swering and saying to the wise men of Babylon: “Any man that will read this writing and show me its very interpretation, with purple he will be clothed, with a necklace of gold about his neck, and as the third one in the kingdom he will rule.”
8 At that time all the wise men of the king were coming in, but they were not competent enough to read the writing itself or to make known to the king the interpretation. 9 Consequently King Belshaz’zar was very much frightened and his complexion was changing within him; and his grandees were perplexed.10 As regards the queen, because of the words of the king and his grandees she entered right into the banqueting hall. The queen answered and said: “0 king, keep living even to times indefinite.” Do not let your thoughts frighten you, nor let your complexion be changed. 11 There exists a capable man in your kingdom in whom there is the spirit of holy gods; and in the days of your father illumination and insight and wisdom like the wisdom of gods were found in him, and King Nebunez’zar your father himself set him up as chief of the magic-practicing priests, the conjurers, the Chalde’ans [ the astrologers ] your father, O king; 12 forasmuch as an extraordinary spirit and knowledge and insight to interpret dreams and the explanation of riddles and the untying of knots had been found in him, in Daniel, whom the king himself named Belte.shaz’zar. Now let Daniel himself be called, that he may show the very interpretation."
And so it makes me wonder why Daniel would allow himself to practice such Occultic arts when Dueteronomy 18:9-14 clearly states that those under the law should not practice magic or any form of Divination ? The text states:
9 “When you are entered into the land that Jehovah your God is giving you, you must not learn to do according to the detestable things of those nations.’ 10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic’ or any one who looks for omens” or a sorcerer,” 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events, or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. 13 You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God.14 ‘For these nations whom you are dispossessing used to listen to those practicing magic and to those who divine; but as for you, Jehovah your God has not given you anything like this.
Daniel is guilty of all of the highligted parts in Dueteronomy 18. Technically Jehovah should put him to death for violation of the mosaic law. Jesus even quoted Daniel in Matthew 24:15; so he had respect for his writings and powers of prediction.
As Jesus could raise the dead with Lazurus ( necromancy or ressurection ) walk on water( levitation )in front of his disciples, turn water into wine at a wedding feast ( transmutation ), calm the storms ( weather control ) just like David Copperfeild, Cris Angel and David Blaine can today - then in reality Jesus is a Warlock just like Daniel and our modern day magicians. Moses, too, is the same as he can perform divination or turn his rod into a snake, or part the red sea. They were all magicians with varioaus abilities. As I have done a lot of research into this area, and to save the time wasters - I do not accept the flawed reasoning that the ancient prophets were using God's spirit and a magician uses the Devil's spirit - I'm sorry that's garbage. I know better than that.
Interested in your comments. :waiting: May God Bless;
