@ MOD - Why have you actually created the politics folder??

Why are you prohibiting freedom of speech?? Politics is a wide spectrum field and thus all aspects and ALL opinions should be allowed to present and discuss, that's what politics discussions are for actually. You are locking and deleting the threads because YOU have not the same opinion and are somehow annoyed. In this case you shouldn't have created subfolders like general chat and politics! Your argument that it only should be financial politics - all of a sudden! - is a quite futile argument and only a cheap justification not to tolerate views of the other side of the coin. Do you (or we all) have to always agree on ALL things???

What you are doing now is "paranoic" and ridiculous!!

Forum with a Politics-base thread is actually the place to serve financial-related topics within the political arena manifesting on investments. If you have more time to serve and contribute another politically base agenda that involves Govts and institutions in governing a country which is a whole lot different to what members here are in to... then you drove into the wrong carpark with that megaphone you wish to cite long referrals that has no base with what we are clearly more keen on...i.e. money and investment growth.

So please, you are NOT restricted unless you persist with unrelated topics that do NOT belong to this Forum, if you are NOT happy about it, find another Forum that accepts your time and quotes on politics that we are NOT keen on having flooded and taking up investment space on this Forum.

Thank you and I think you should respect our wishes too for setting up this Forum but there are others, and no one is stopping you from going to them either. MOD. :) 8)

I don't agree with you YogiBrood. :shock: The fun corner etc is not for financial related jokes so why shouldn't the politics thread be the same. I enjoy reading mickys' posts and find them quite enlightening. And there are obviously quite a few forum members who are interested in this topic judging by the views and replies.
There are threads on the UK forum for football fans (clearly a topic unrelated to finances :) ) so why can't us members who are interested in these topics be given the same treatment? :?

I see your point raised in comparison and frankly, U R right there however when coming down to religion and politics (for the sake of discussion here), these two age-old topics are NEVER a healthy subject if you are not within the clergy or yet another professed theologen for religious matters or, unless you are in office related to either the Parliament, a local Mayor or simply another arm in upholding/regulating civil to domestic issues dealing with the immediate community or within the boundaries of your country's national interests, anf if U R indeed, this forum like any other dealing with the reason it was set up to serve, shouldn't be the place to discuss them.

There's plenty of those "politic-base" forums and avenues that cater to these zealots of some kind to further their mindset to prove their goals for acheiving the next party for office...ROLclub is not the place to be honest.

I'm into politics myself but certainky, I don't see this a place to discuss it at all... it's the WRONG environment to discuss it. Try inviting a shoemaker to promote his new range of shoes to combine with your wife's Tupperware party promoting the latest plastics for solution to your household needs??? Sports and anything that brings out cheers and a good dosis of genuine laughter is always welcome to dampened moods and we have that in growing abundance lately at this critical moment and we all know, politics and religion, both in particular, are bad for business if your setup is not created to cater these two contentious topics that's always devisive in nature.

However, politics dealing within the financial arena is certainly WELCOME...we get to know what we are into...when dealing with our investment portfolios... that's what this forum is about. Don't be mistaken, politics is a wide subject and I want that distinction recognised...even though, one may respond as, hey wait a minute, many forums have Politics as a platform included so what is wrong having it here too?

True, but then again, you have not understood my point and the distinction made here as well.

Oh well, I'm not impressed by those that refer their home-base politic problems and issues as they want it addressed here.... if you are smart enough, you go to those forums that deals with those specialising it, not among those here that seeks money and financial related hopes with money to steer clear from the clutches of the IRS. They are raising apples among oranges that were selected to quench our thirst.

But if there are issues that involves govt depts encroaching on your investments, by all means raise it under politics, without question!

I think everybody is old enough to decide whether he wants to read politic threads or not or any other topic. It is quite simple in forums to ignore threads by reading the subject lines or simply avoiding special sections directly. We are patronized enough by governments and other authorities but in few things we are mature enough (at least I think so) to decide ourselves whether we wanna participate in a discussion or not, we can decide what to read or not, even in this very forum!

And here I agree with Savannah. If you strictly wanna stick by the rules and only allow financial stuff to be discussed here in every matter and facet and every subfolder then you should delete fun and politics section and also all threads and posts in all language folders which do not explicitely deal with P**S and finance. But of course you won't do that. If topics would have appeared which are in favor of your politicial view, I bet my a**, you surely wouldn't have locked or deleted them. Why don't you admit that?

Financial politics (World Bank, IMF, interest rates policy, national debts and the like) really have less to do with P**S and hyips ;-) THIS has nothing to do with this forum at all and according to your rules you would also have to delete such topics! Your arguments of financial politics stuff is quite weak and IMO only an excuse/justification ;-) :lol:

micky, keep posting and opening the eyes of the folks caught in the Matrix. It only makes sense that many who got into PIPS in the first place have a predisposition to "think outside the box" in more areas than personal finance.

It would seem to me the same people/beings who approve, plan and allow false flag "terror" operations of all stripes to occur have a deep interest in expanding the "Know Your Customer", "Patriot Act" and anti-privacy rules and regs that do impinge on us all.

Politics and Religion can be volatile mix but if there is someone interested in discussing it, why not? If the topic is listed then I would think it's open. I don't mind reading opposing viewpoints as long as they are honest and intelligent and inoffensive w/o vulgarity. Even a few good natured insults are not too bad! Sometimes they may just change my mind!!! I received an unsolicited invitation to this forum and it has been good for the most part but I am getting to the point where I am feeling unwelcome. I can see having rules but if you don't want religion and politics discussed it should be stated from the outset and not up to individual controlling moderators. Seems people like control and power at every level and don't know how to keep from exerting more than necessary. I don't think I have EVER seen a more moderator controlled forum. You should be called Sheriff's! How about Thought Police? That would fit right in with the Patriot Act and loss of personal liberty! BTW, the Patriot Act has EVERYTHING to do with investing and money because it limits personal freedoms including banking privacy not only in U.S but worldwide.
