back to PIPS, let us just hope that when Bryan does get the servers back and everything back on line that there is some kind of ironclad firewalls and protections that keep the bad boys out. any opinions on that? There seem to be some very dedicated destructive types who don't care who they hurt as long as some sort of imagined vengeance is served.

Hi gang,

I agree with you on this ourhouse37, but as I see it, unless you can identify the ones from the dark side, how can you put up a suitable barrier to stop them.

Anyone got any ideas?

You read my mind. I think it is time to bombard the responsible govt. with thousands of letters sent on a regular basis. We might be able to frustrate them into action by bogging down their small system. Its worth a CHEAP SHOT. I will approach admin. about a in your face spot to attract an army. Do you think we could get a firm address for our target?

Be careful... this is not just a computer game where people can get rid of their frustrations without any consequences.
You know, in the end the officials' perception is probably that they're only doing just their job... so chances are small they'll understand... let be that they would act as you would like them to (as far as anyone will understand the message behind such bombing).
So imho it'll turn out contraproductive, and create merely more chaos and conflicts rather than it'll solve anything.

Easy, follow standard security practices. There is no need to try and identify who, as everyone is a potential threat. There are loads of companies out there that face day to day security threats. This is not even to mention companies like MS and banks etc.

Well is good news but need confirmation from the boss himself. We all have been waiting patiently for so many months so waiting for a few more months wont kill us right.

have a year and half with pips... hope will rise again....

So lets take a poll of intrest. A letter writing campaign would be doable.
