Thread: Is the cancellation of all the merchants WD's a good thing?

Does anyone else believe that this has been done for a reason other than Fraudulent account checking?

One reason I've heard is that VAT is about to come online but maybe just for merchants at this point. So PicPay have cancelled the WD's allowing them to be proccessed by VAT. :lol: :lol:

It may not be all negative! But I suppose Bryan new update will have more info in!

Prima facie, and in the absence of a forum or back-office post from the big man to all customers it doesn't look good does it?

Nevertheless, we already know that we can't count salient and timely communication amongst the big man's skills so no surprise there. However, there are whispers in the shadows that good things are going to happen and hopefully we will all be in the know before the week is done.

It's fair to say though that in the light of these merchant transaction cancellations frustration is turning into anger in some corners of P**sland.

Yes it is a GOOD thing and has to be done. Payments will be processed out of VAT plus other platforms. I am expecting that when it is time - all member WT and WD will also be send back to their PicPay accounts.

:? It looks like all of the comments related to merchant accounts is based on rumors or mere speculation. I don't see any evidence that this move is good or bad - so far it's just very confusing.

I have seen postings that state we will be limited on how many gift cards we can buy through the merchant system in a month. I don't understand why it matters if I want to buy 2 gift cards or 50 of them.

If anyone (maybe a merchant) has received any real communication from Pips about why they went in and zapped all the merchant accounts I would really like to understand it.

We can all make up things we think it means (good or bad) I guess I'm looking for some concrete answers. If you have this info, please let us know.

I think it is a great thing,
Now they can start paying members in stead of wasteing time paying the merchant's do we realy need them any way. Ive probebly upset some one but this is my opinion. Do they have a vital role if so please justify.
They need to stop all WD accros the board or prevent them from happening members included for a small period, why you ask & your an ID1OT I here you yell at me. think about it if you can only do 5 things per day and you get 15 things per day thats an extra 2 more days of work added if this continues to happen it will take forever to get any where. But I do not mean to upset those people who think with a logical mind set.

Bruce - I'm not offended by your post everyone has a right to there opinion. Whether or not there should be merchants is a seperate issue. I think the issue at hand is, Pips set up the Merchant area and promised Merchants that they would be paid in 2 weeks for any spends made to their accounts if they would be willing to take picpay.

I understand that their are some "opportunists" who may have seen this as a way to start a new home based business from their bedroom and make some money. However, there are also a lot of merchants that were existing businesses and spent time, money and manpower in marketing their products or services to pips members. Shouldn't they be paid for the sales that were made?

What concerns me is that some of these merchants now no longer want to have anything to do with pips members because we're seen as a flaky program. So instead of spreading good will, we're creating even more "doubt of legitimacy" in the minds of the collective worldwide business community.

Some good words from Pips management could go a long way to repairing the merchants trust.

Our merchant accounts have had all withdrawals stopped and returned to our accounts whilst p**p** investigate all merchants and hope to have us back to normal soon.
