I would like to be a part of claiming my money. My brother and several other people will like more imformation on what to do!

Edit: If you can with your backup with brothers and friends who may also be involved, read post #4 and that bit of search & find may help too. - YB.

    Hello Yogi,

Likewise, thanks for updating this and keeping everyone in the loop. It's been a long time since I've been on the board, but have followed things sporadically. I donated to the cause in helping to monitor the trial but had to walk away from it all a long time ago, just as I did with all 'online ventures'... I just lost far too much money in what generally turned out to be schemes and scams of faceless dishonest people. Now I just lose my money on the stock market instead! LOL

I just looked back over my notes and it appears that PIPS was one of the few that I only invested a small amount in - just the initial investment, which worked out to be $472.50US - now if only I'd been so smart with some of the other programs like CAN, YMMSS and PayAce, where I lost a small fortune. At this stage I'd completely given up on this and even now wonder whether it will actually cost more to take legal action than what I will get at the end of the day. I'll leave that out there for comment.

Once again, thanks for your ongoing dedication to this cause and the members of this forum.

    Cheers,

    Rob

Edit: Rob, if you felt, out of principle, to participate and be active with your side of any support, you are welcome. However, 2B honest, what you "invested" or thought you did, is a sum that may perhaps be outweighed by the expected commitment you can expect to anticipate. So, I have to leave you to seriously decide, only you can make a qualified decision on this. - YB.

Default New Initiative to Recover Monies from PIPS

Thanks for re-opening the efffort/new initiativve to recover monies "taken" by Bryan Marsden in the PIPS Scheme. I would like to participate in this initiative. Your comment below was that only 18 Claimants were successful (for their determination and perserverance) in retrieiving their money. Following are some questions that may help us decide how to approach this:
    1. What did the 18 Successful Claimants do and how did they do it to recover their monies.
    2. What lessons can we learn from them in their successful recovery of their monies ?
    3. What monies did they recover, just their investment or interest promised or . . . .?
    4. Has anyone been identified and provided guidance and direction on representing those interested in filing claims against Bryan ?
    5. Is Bryan exempt from any additional legal action against him ?
Thanks again for re-initiating this effort.

bgsretired (or at least was hoping to be with PIPS Investment)

    Edit:

1- They did by heeding & adhering to what I had done for securing their status seriously and that is to abide what I instructed them to do all the way of the process.
2- Abide my instructions, guidance and stick as a family team. Initial correspondence remains channeled with & through YogiBrood, for this is inevitable on this tricky new & unprecedented strategy trip.
3- Refund was close to 85% after a good deal & uncompromising bargaining involving Public Prosecutor and through our selected Solicitor Team.
4- The identities remains a closed & privileged status held and wished to be held by those involved, from the rest... it is after all, their right and no one needs to know more nor should bother to insist the disclosure. If found necessary, those Claimants were informed of their liberty to do so despite the knowledge that they owe no one any obligation to come out and release the experience they went through, ROLCLub respects their right and it can be assumed, they are VERY satisfied with this outcome.
5- As far as Malaysia is concerned and under the charges he was imprisoned for, NO. Unless he repeats it all over again within Malaysia.

    YB.

I am trying the best i can to understand everything you say, and with my school-english it can be a bit hard sometimes:-) But i also wondering what i can do, feeling very stupid that thought the best of pips and still lost the savings that i should have given to my two little girls instead, so very much regrets and that is not very easy to forget, so hope we can do something about the lost money and also for our pride lol. Its very tuff to start trusting people again after hitting the wall like we did that time, and for marsden to be a free man; he shure do not deserve that, and hopefully someone finds him, i shure would have a word with him;-)
Wishing every one of us good luck, and hope it would not take several years.

I am like the others wanting to try to get a successful claim initiated. Bgsretired has a good starting point. But after getting those questions answered, an attorney will have to be engaged. I would hope that whoever would be interested in getting the claim moving in the legal arena, that they would be willing to do this on a contingency basis. I am sure there is enough monies available in the event that a legal counselor is successful in filing and completing this claim on a class-action basis. I would be willing to discuss this matter regarding my personal situation on a phone call, but not over the internet (if we get that far). I believe that if more monies are required for retainers and standard time billed legal fees, then most people will just simple say "I've learned my lesson" and move on. This, as I see it, will determine if the door for concluding a successful claim will either open or close. I will keep my eye on this thread.

Thanks for your response. I understand this is very frustrating and I too had monies that I invested (USD of 6 figures) in hopes to retire and have monies for my children; but this did not happen. We must seek to recover our monies without seeking revenge. If we seek revenge, this may cloud our judgment and get in the way of the most effective way, if possible, to recover some if not all of our monies. I also wish everyone the best of luck and success in this endeavor and all endeavors to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

I also agree with tport that if we can find an attorney (or a group of) that are willing to take the case on a contingency basis (" 50 % of something is better than 100% of nothing"), this would be a big step forward. I would think that if someone (or a group) would take this on a contingency basis, they would only do this if they felt quite strong about the possibility of recovering monies in a "reasonable" time frame.

Like Rio states,we have all gone into programs that got us excited,eg Can,Ymmss and a long list of others,
As I was talking to a fellow Rol-club member we have had to learn the hard way and over the years and thru losing $$$$ we are hopefully more careful,I personally think that the Malaysian Bank has a lot more of the funds that is rightfully ours.
Put my name on the list too as if we can get more out of the bank even tho they say no-way,"never say never" lets try.
