I think I have a Trojan keylogger on my computer. My e-gold was hacked and lost all my funds ... I think this is it.

I know e-gold is in some trouble right now but I don't want this Trojan on my putter just the same ...also my egold will not except my pass word ...got a email today from e-gold saying that

I have 6 anti virious on my computer and still I think I got hit... go figure ..

something about this Trojan below ...

There are Trojans keyloggers that monitors Internet Explorer windows until a
user visits the e-gold login page: e-gold.com/acct/login.html. Once the
user is logged in, the Trojan opens a hidden Internet Explorer window in
which it accesses the user's account balance: e-gold.com/acct/balance.asp.
After ascertaining the value of the user's account it attempts to transfer
their funds to another account using the hidden window.

This is a good idea to use two or more antivirus software packages.
Sometimes one is not enough. But don't use all of them at the same time.

1) Stop using IE Internet Explorere immediately and start using Mozilla Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

2) Some keyloggers are never discovered by Anti-virus programs so you need to install a Spyware program. I use Spyware Doctor

I also highly suggested using Tea Timer from SD Spybot Search & Destroy. This will notify you every time your Windows Registry is modified and asks you for permission so if you are surfing and all of a sudden you get an unexpected notification you'll know something is wrong immediately.

3) You can find all of the above mentioned software programs at http://www.download.com Some things are FREE others cost money. But I'm sure after losing your egold you can see the value of Paying for security.

4) Another program to use that will throw off the keyloggers is RoboForm http://www.roboform.com This will store all of your passwords so you'll never have to type them in again (make sure you're clean before typing in your passwords the first time). Stores up to 10 passwords for free and if you want more I believe it's $30 for a full license with infinite password capacity.
