There are many options which can trigger paypal to hold your funds.
Did you try to withdraw any other funds or send other funds to somebody else within 24 hours after receiving of this money?

Should this not be the case the sender of the money either informed his cc-company or just filed a chargeback. From a pure legal point of view not much what you can do.
